Oh, come on Tom! Not only do we Europeans have to pay more tax, we also have to wait much longer to receive our collectibles in most cases. Just for the record: every single 12" I've ordered, and I have ordered ALL of the new SW and LOTR line so far, will cost me in the end about $ 92. That's at least the price I've payed for my Metaluna Mutant. The sweet General will cost me approximately $ 86 on taxes (estimated). We'll see what the EU customer survey that SSC organized recently can change about that. But I don't have much hope. With all these thing said, I like to bring up that fellow board member Seretur from Croatia has to pay even more, since he has to order form the US directly. I know the SSC customer support is dealing with this, and I hope they find a solution for this situation.
Sorry for going off topic. I just wanted to show that there is always someone that has to wait longer, and has to pay more.

Ouch! Didn't mean to overlook all the overseas customers. $35 in taxes probably sounds pretty good to Seretur!

Alice we are working on alternatives but VAT is as VAT does, everywhere in the EU. You would be paying a simialr amount of tax if youpurchased your item from another merchant in EU and had it shipped to you. The only money you might save is the VAT on shipping if you pick your item up.

We are also looking forward to the feedback from our EU Survey!

I've actually received a shipment prior to the email in the past (I'm probably the closest Freak to Sideshow geographically), but never without seeing a charge on the card.

Whatsa matter, Sideshow? Did I cancel too many pre-orders? You no love Gruff no more?

If you purchase somehting from EU and you are in US then you pay import fees. Sideshow is a vendor of record with the EU government, with a warehouse in London. Therefore folks, we need to charge the EU version of sales tax, which is Value Added Tax or VAT.

LOL! Yeah me too Viking!! And don't worry Chicky... we freaks are reasonably sane... ... I think.. But who knows... a valium or a shot of whiskey might actually help.

This whole mess will be sorted out in a week or so. Luke is probably one of the most anticipated starter figures in any line to date and being so.... Craziness is sure to ensue. I kinda knew this would happen, as soon as I placed the order. I just thought to myself that once it got closer to shipping, heart attacks would be the order of the day.

C'mon guys... lets just get our straight-jackets on and take our pills... Luke will be in hand soon..
