Lurtz Exclusive PF Waitlist

Just got another email from SS regarding the extensive waitlist for this and that I most likely won't be getting one.

Has anyone else on the waitlist gotten this message? I've never missed out on a PF after I've gotten on the waitlist. I wouldn't be crushed to miss this exclusive, as I'd never display him with the bow, and it'd be nice to get him for $50 cheaper from a retailer.

Whatever descision you make keep in mind that many got the same email on other items including Predator maquette. And in the end several people who stuck with the waitlist still got lucky.

PFs seem to get cancelled more than any other item due to the price and timing of some releases. I'd hold out for it or post a thread in the Want To Buy forum. You may be able to get one through a board member.

Today was actually the second time I received this notice. At this point I'm not too disappointed. With all the other stuff I have on order, I'm pretty much sticking to the SW PFs. I will continue to collect the LOTR 12" figures.

The thing is I haven't made up my mind about the exclusive yet. I figure it's another $50 to get those arms and I just don't see it there. Same thing with the Boba Fett PF, most likely going to cancel the exc. and get it from a retailer for much cheaper.

I don't mind the exclusive, I just like the regular arms a lot better.

I see this as the reverse Leia, if she came with the big blaster in the regular. I'd have no desire to get the exclusive because I know that's how I'd pose her.

I mean he's only walking with the bow, not like he's aiming it at Boromir. And I doubt our PF Boromir will have arrows in him (then it'd make the Lurtz Exc. a must).

I can definitely see your reasoning. If you don't have any plans to display him with the bow, then I would certainly just go with the regular through a retailer and save some dough. I've done the same with some other PF's, of course in this instance I plan on displaying with the bow.

I received the same notice for the exclusive Han PF, which was ultimately converted to a real order. If you really want it, don't give up!!

That's what I'm thinking. I've never failed to have an expensive wait list converted. I am however still waiting for my 12" Aragorn Exclusive to get converted.

I got on the waitlist for Lurtz Exclusive about three hours after it sold out, and got a message a while back that it was converted. Funny, though, my cancelled regular Lurtz is still listed as active. Good luck gambit!

This looks like one of the coolest exclusive add-ons, though, and I like the posing options, much like the vampire/non-vampire spike. Gives you a chance to change things up with your display every now and again!

i for one cannot wait for this to arrive. I have the Exclusive version and with the different hand weapon version, it will give us more choices as to how to pose him.

i love the Exclusive on Lurtz so much that if i can't get the Exc, i just won't get it period. of course i'll try ebay unless it goes for something insane. that said, i got the email saying there was almost no chance of the waitlist converting. i'll hang on tho

The Waitlist has been good and bad for me; I was able to get the Grievous Exclusive (though I decided against collecting the SW PFs), but have had no luck whatsoever with the 12" SW Kit Fisto or Anakin Exclusives.

It seems that the more expensive the item, the greater your chances with the wait list. The 12" figures cost less and are less likely to be the victims of cancellation or credit card decline. On the other hand, I think that a lot of people getting the "abandon hope" e-mail will end up with an exclusive Lurtz after all.

Hopefully these emails will get people off the waitlist in front of me and then there will be a lot of cancellations.

Mine is W314XXX, I don't think the order number has any reference to your order in line. I got on the wait list late, Jan. 30.
