I love the piece...except for the cape, just not a fabric cape guy but...i ordered day one...have no idea what the gripe with the belt is...appears like that all over the place especially 1991 X-Men 2(Jim lee?)....if he had the belt and the undies then they would complain about that as well. Anyway to each their own..I love it and happy to have it on order.

It doesn't bother me at all. I have been on these boards long enough that I have seen it all. Honestly, the worst looking "unmasked" portraits that I can think of were the original Magneto comiquette & the original Cyclops PF EX head.

Unmasked Bullseye COM and unmasked Bucky Cap PF were pretty bad as well. This Mags portrait isn't as bad but the hair on it really kills the portrait for me personally.

I'm not educating anyone as I could give two ****s who likes this piece and who doesn't. But, you are right about one thing. When someone makes a blanket statement that is basically "OMG, can't possibly understand why other people don't like the same thing I like," you bet you're going to get people who respond as I did.

In your opinion. I personally think the XM portrait is miles better than this MAQ's. That floppy hair is a real downer in my book.

I pre ordered the statue and I can’t say I’m in love with the unmasked portrait. I don’t like the XM one either though. I will be displaying mine with his helmet

Still angry about the label switch and price hike. That will need to dissipate before I consider getting this. The masked portrait is nice, so we shall see.

This mags has me curious for the next reveal. If any. Would be great if the feedback they got on this “maquette” will make them go easy with their own interpretation for the next character
