It wasn't the catcher, it was ****in rolen : slap

The passed ball moved runners to 2nd and 3rd. Then Rolen made the error. Without the passed ball, bases are loaded with the error and anything can happen with 2 outs.

Yes, technically the run scored on the error. It was a tough in-between hop though.

nice to see the Giants and A's winning tonight even though the Giants offense is non existant so far :(. Even though I prefer SF come back, I will root for Oak if they can do it too.

Well in a few hours I'll be headed to the Nats game here in D.C., first postseason baseball in the nation's capital in over 70 years, and everyone's talking about it. But man, MLB is trying hard to make D.C. hate baseball.

First, they schedule a 1:00 game with less than 48 hours notice on a weekday, which is havoc enough as it is. Then they put it on MLB Network, even in the local market, which a lot of local people don't have. My dad doesn't, and he's a rabid Nats fan...I'm really glad I'm taking him to the game today, because he'd be heartbroken regardless. Oh, and not to mention the pressure this is going to put on local infrastructure - getting home on a weekday from D.C. is hard enough without adding an additional 40,000 people leaving the Nats game right at rush hour. I know it's probably not talk outside of the area, but people here are pretty pissed off about the poor choices on MLB's part.

I understand the Yankees "have to" be in primetime. I know they're a popular team to watch, and that includes in this area, where many of us grew up Orioles fans (and therefore, even IF the Os weren't in the series, we'd be cheering on whoever played against the let's-steal-everyone's-talent Yankees and Red Sox). But why couldn't it be a 4:00 game? Jeez. Or, god forbid, have two games going on at the same time like in ANY OTHER SPORT. Heck, even the NFL shows multiple playoff games at the same time, and they're more popular than baseball (unfortunately).

Meh, just venting. I was able to get off work pretty easily, and my fiancee called in "sick," but we shouldn't have to do that.

I hear ya. The start times for this series has been ridiculous! Welcome to playoff baseball, where the Yanks/Sox rule the start times. :lol

Regardless, make sure to have fun! I bet you that place will be buzzing with electricity bigtime! Make sure to record some video for yourself of the crowd noise. It's something you'll appreciate later on in life!

Oh, and go easy on my guy, Carp, will ya!

In 2009 the MLB scheduled the Rockies v Phillies game 3 in Colorado to start at 8:20 local time. It was 35 degrees. I am still trying to defrost my nuts.

Post some pics if you get a chance and enjoy the game.
