Was not entirely sure were to post this, Mods, please feel free to move it! Does anyone know the 'origin' of this Head Sculpt, It looks a little like the CRM Toys version, maybe repainted? But it looks amazing in my opinion and the best McDowell likeness!

Sure Joel, that's my figure. It is a CRM, repainted by Les Walker. It's got to be at least ten years old. I'd post some other pictures that emphasize the sculpt's weaknesses, but the guys here are having too much fun tearing it to shreds without my help. :pfft: :rotfl

I could be wrong, but I don't think WB would be filing suit here, as I don't believe they hold licensing rights for the Kubrick stuff. From my understanding, the reason why there haven't been more licensed products from his films is the Kubrick estate itself doesn't allow it. And I can't imagine they would try to sue.

Then thats good news! Denny should get on this! I don't think the Kubrick estate is going to be knocking on his door.

I hope someone nails the likeness eventually because Alex has certainly not berm perfected'

RM didn't hit the Alex sculpt dead on the screws but I can't say that there's zero McDowell there. There's more or less resembelence depending the angle you're looking at or the still that you're comparing it to. But it's no way a total miss.

Of all my Rainman figs it is both the weakest likeness and my favorite by far. That's the bottom line Joel; if you like that CRM and it makes you happy then go for it!!

True, the likeness front the front does show some McDowell but I feel it loses it at all other angles, that being said, I do not own it personally!
