Yeah, check different HT pred threads and severeal members discuss moding the dreds with the hot water or blow dryer methods. I even saw a you tube video where a guy took the dreds from a lost pred and super glued them on a P1. Looked pretty nice.

Wow - well I'd like to keep it stock but just do enough futzing to make him look decent like in the origianl pics -- are thos actually the same dreads in the proto? or where they changed...does anyone know for sure?

Just got some ball and socket set from a Hobby store in Japan but have no idea how to add them to my preds ankles to make him a bit taller ?

There's much more things you need to change in the Classic figure to make him closer to P1.
Like his feet, wristcomp, hips armor, repainting gloves, etc.

I like the the Classic, but it's not P1. Doesn't look like much but so far I'm happy with him.

To me classic with the side pouch bone choker chain, vertebrae on left side and bone string on right, bicep armor and hose and arm ties converts him to P1 as accurate as the original HT p1 was I.e. it wasnt fully accurate anyway.

But u get something way cooler than the toylike proportions of the original P1.

i guess he did.

with that thought in mind i gave them to my p1.

He has them but the ones on the knees are shorter in most scenes.

as for my p1 and "making it perfect":
people whose work was used here:
- good old HT sculptors (head & part of armor)
- tylerdurdem (helmet)
- SilentSurfer (pink mouth)
- Joseph "one head for all predators" Tsang (body & part of armor)
- ...me (uniting it all)
body armor is a combination of old&new, best seen in the groin & back areas.

Anyone know if anyone is selling a kit to transform the Classic into the P1?? I can't access the marketplace yet and was curious...

Is that what the bag looks like on the classic? Did they actually get it right this time? I went through a lot of trouble looking up reference and making the one on mine.

Great lookin work all around board. I would wait for a new release if you're ending up spending 100 bucks just for mods alone. But it's definitely fun making your own modifications and new paint jobs in the mean time if you have the spare coin.
