There were seams for the dorsal tubes, but some of the ones here are a centimeter off or so.

Totally agree that this piece blows away the Cool Props piece. Only thing left is to see how Prime 1’s holds up! I love having all the competition!! At this point Sideshow needs to just pack up their expensive plastic and go home!

Another Japanese company take on 1:3 scale alien statues from the four movies.
Based on the products made by Sano, Kotobukiya, Coolprops, Prime 1 studios...assume they're gonna looking AWESOME but EXPENSIVE!!!

Was just looking back in this thread (because I can’t get enough of this piece) and remembered that they will be doing each film!! I can’t wait to see what they have in store for the Aliens Warrior! I’m curious if they will mimic a promotional photo and replicate the actor wearing the xenomorph suit (rather than a “lifelike” sculpt) in the next pieces they release?

I don't think so. That'll just look ugly. No one wants dwarf alien warrior.\
But I would like to see a dog suit though.

I think coolprops tried to make the actual creature while Mamegyorai is making the best statue represents the suit.
Accuracy wise, Mamegyorai is almost flawless, but the pose is indeed very controversial. I would prefer coolprops pose with some of Mamegyorai details.

I'd suggest that Mamegyorai are making the suit how it was in the movie. Coolprops are making the suit as it is today in the museum (right down to the annoyingly crooked angel of the feet) And Prime 1 will likely attempt to make the character come to life more rather than focusing quite as faithfully on the details.

I finally had to face reality and admit there was no way I could rationalize the cost of this to myself.

I'm still planning to sell off a bunch of stuff in the coming year, but that money is probably going towards the Iron Studios 1/3 Hawkman, which I'm hoping/expecting will come in a good % less than the $2100 for this even though in terms of mass it's going to be significantly bigger.

My congrats and more than a tinge of envy go to all of you guys who can comfortably afford this one. It's still the ideal Alien Big Chap statue as far as I'm concerned. I'm just priced out of it.

Honestly, if I could afford it, I'd have all three next to each other quite happily. But my new house and a loss of work hours has ruined my plans in this hobby this year and going forward so I'll have to decide on one (even that will be a big ask) I can't speak for the P1 yet as we havn't seen it, although it sounds really promising and will likely be the highest quality production piece of the three, it's also 1/4 so should be slightly cheaper. I adore the Mamegyorai, but probably can't afford it tbh. I think I'd be happy settling for the CP version after seeing Burtials great review.

Does anyone here have any contacts with Mamegyorai? Maybe more insite on when we will see a production piece so we can gauge the quality of their mass produced product?
