What is going on with Warner Bros.' superhero movies beyond this summer's Man of Steel? It's been a topic of much speculation among fans, and now the studio's president Jeff Robinov is speaking out on the current state of the DC movie universe.
Guess What's Not in Man of Steel?
In short, Robinov tells EW that the new Superman movie will lay the groundwork for future films and characters from DC.
“It’s setting the tone for what the movies are going to be like going forward," says Robinov of Man of Steel. "In that, it’s definitely a first step. … I think you’ll see that, going forward, anything can live in this world. [Christopher Nolan’s] Batman was deliberately and smartly positioned as a stand-alone. The world they lived in was very isolated without any knowledge of any other superheroes. What [director] Zack [Snyder] and [producer] Chris have done with this film is allow you to really introduce other characters into the same world."
Robinov also says that the rumors about Nolan and Bat-actor Christian Bale returning for a Justice League movie as producer and star respectively are not true. And regarding those Dark Knight movies, the magazine asked if they stand "entirely alone." Robinov's response was, “They do. Or they did. Where we go in the future is a whole other conversation.” So start analyzing that one now, folks…
Additionally, Robinov says an announcement will be coming in the next "several weeks that will hopefully position the DC characters and the movies we’re going to be making."

This is nothing against Amy Adams, but I think this is the first time I've found Ma Kent to be more attractive than Lois Lane. Seriously, Diane Lane is still fine. Josh Brolin is a lucky bastard.
