I noticed this thread on the bluray.com forum and am interested in what you all think. Whilst I loved Taken , Man on Fire beats it by a mile for me. Just so much more emotion and depth.
Both revenge movies in there own different yet similar ways.
Which do you prefer ?.

Easy choice, Man on Fire; Taken doesn't have anything close to the character development or emotional impact.

Man on Fire for me. I like both but thought Taken was alittle to predictable. I got Man on Fire on Blu but havent had time to watch it yet, but I hear the blu-ray transfer is really good.

Both are good movies, I give MOF a slight edge.

Though in a fight, I think Mills takes down Creasy.

I should have added a poll. :slap
Ah well. Nasedo , the transfer for MOF on bu is brilliant. It works so well with the style in which it was filmed and edited.

From what I could see Taken was beating Man on Fire over on the blu ray forums judging by the comments.

The ending of MOF was awesome, but in all honestly I enjoyed the whole movie of Taken more. Plus you can't beat that phone scene.

Man on Fire had the most powerful soundtrack , thats for sure.

I like Taken better. More basic and to the point. Of course, Point Blank blows both out of the water.

Sort of different than the others in lots of important ways, but as revenge movies go, can't be beat.

^^^This. While I do enjoy putting in Taken any day of the week it really doesn't give you much background or development that Man on Fire does.

~~~Also, any movie with Christopher Walken >>> any movie without him.
