I saw that.

I think Maxnut jumped the gun with accusations, but most of the businesses involved are sized at like 2 people, so its basically dudes calling other dudes out.

I keep seeing the word 'partnership' everywhere, which is really weird. Justin, TW and Maxnut all call each other partners...which feels like loose agreements to abide by certain things without perhaps written contracts.

Don't know, but looks to be resolved. Wonder how Justin is going to handle it.

Justin's videos are great and informative...but he's definitely propaganda. Don't tell me he has no motive or incentive behind these 3rd party videos...

If he truly wanted to be neutral, he wouldn't be plugging a specific seller/retailer all the time.

Absolutely. If someone is watching his videos for a critical opinion, they're doing it wrong. He's easily got one of the top 5 best production values on YT when it comes to figure reviewing so he's a great venue to get as close to handling a figure as you can before buying it, but no doubt he's an advertising system for TW (whether he realizes it or not) and he's very biased in his interpretations of products.

Maxnut and TW are definitely good, I just got an email from TW saying they are in agreement with Maxnut, and back them. Maxnut also said the partnership with Justin will just be fine.

See what happens. Everybody wants that cash money.

Yes, Justin definitely has more than just a passing interest in TW's success. And if he actually bought all the figures he "couldn't wait to add to his own collection", he'd need his own warehouse. :lol

It doesn't really bother me that Justin is affiliated though, it's just something to be aware of. By now everyone knows his reviews are exceedingly positive but his videos are definitely among the highest quality on YouTube. It's easy to see what you need to see and decide for yourself.

Is there a reason they will not sell TOP head sculpts now? All the TOP head sculpts do not seem to be reproductions of another. Then again the only sculpts from TOP I know about are the Tony from iron man 2 for the racing suit and the 2 pack from endgame. Both of which I have picked up btw and are great.

While Justin is a bit of a hot toys cheerleader, I have seen 3rd party reviews he has done where he was not salivating over the product.

It could be as simple as he gets free product to review so he can spend his own money on other toys.

I couldn't take Justin's videos seriously after he recommended people to buy the D23 Captain America. There are definitely better reviewers out there.

Yeah that was an awful review. The he also wont shut his lightbox off to show light up features, which is usually fine except when its an accessory he is reviewing like the wootoys floating gun for the mk 50 iron man.

I like Justin?s reviews because they are all consistent and he gets them early. You don?t have to like his reviews, but if your going to bash him on how he does it, make your own YouTube channel and do your own thing.

Also, is there any other reviewer that gets basically all hot toys figures? That?s why I love Justin?s, if hot toys releases something, I know there will be a review.

Also, who is maxnut? Sounds like a terrible ****star name 😂

Justin Mr. "Again, Hot Toys nailed it, this figure is absolutely amazing" as independent and reviewer ... made my day.

I didn?t know scoob collected toys? Nice

If justin gets his video up first I sometimes check it out to see what the figure looks like in hand. As far as his "reviews", he is actually one of the worst I have ever seen on youtube. Just really bad at talking clearly about the important issues with a given figure and sometimes i wonder if his last name is just Chan, as in Howard Chan.

He has good production values, gets reviews quick in since he gets special express shipping from TW, and will review HT figures as if they are perfect.

He reminds me of those Star Wars movie reviewers on YT where every year they would say this movie topped the previous one, or were as good as the ESB, and you scratch your head.

But then at least you have RedLetterMedia if you need a dose of eye rolling reality for movies.

Let's face it, ANY channel that says Endgame D23 Captain America is the definitive Captain America at 1/6, the community is going to have their 'independence' scrutinized even further.

It's not that I disagree with some of the criticism but one is free to run their YouTube channel however they like. The videos are very easy to ignore altogether if you choose. I am just happy to see the early video of completed production figures, the added commentary can be entertaining enough even if I don't always agree.

Regardless of what Justin may say in his videos, I appreciate that he gets his reviews up quickly and that the video quality is high enough for me to make my own judgement on the figure.
