While so many are talking about the obvious silhouettes of Han and Luke as Stormtroopers in the center over in the SW thread, I couldn't help but think that perhaps the silhouette on the far left is a Map-Room Indy exclusive.

The roundness of the top of the head, and then the way it just comes straight down...no definition to the shape of the face/head...could it be the turban wrap to the side of Indy's face? Plus, the 'puffy' sleeve...could it be the white robe? Only time will tell, but I for one am hoping that's what it is. I mean, it would make sense. It's the base figure minus the jacket and hatted head, no accessories except the satchel. Only a robe and turban wrap would have to be made...and hopefully a staff and headpiece.

Have a look...

that's the butcher you are looking at.. not map room indy..
i can see what you mean, but yeah, he's even holding the knife.

I doubt it.. only because the silhouette's head is not very wide... a head with a turban like the one Indy wore in the maproom would be very wide compared to the shoulders.. that one is pretty narrow... but a Maproom Indy would, in fact, be a very easy figure for sideshow to do.. ( even easier, and I would assume- more popular - than german disguise Indy..) like you said, a turbaned head and robe would be simple additions to what is already available... accessories could, and should, include the staff, headpiece, notebook, archaeologist's brush and his pocket knife.... yup... would be cool...

The Butcher. Meh...I was hoping I was seeing something AWESOME that my fellow Freaks would hallucinate into seeing if they stared at it long enough too.

:lol

Ah well, I have a custom Map-Room Indy in the works anyways...

Also, check out next week's newsletter for the full reveal of our Con exclusives from these popular licenses: Star Wars, LOTR, The Dead, Marvel, Disney and G.I. JOE!

No Indy. Acceptance is the first step to moving on.

I imagine an Indy figure will present itself around SDCC but just as an offering rather than an SDCC exclusive.

After all, Vader/Stormtrooper and Jabba set were premiered at SDCC and they weren't necessarily SDCC exclusives, right? Weren't they just showcased there?

Just showcased like every other item. The Ex are just limited to the 6-7 items that they let you PO before the show.

Right. There could be new Indy items at SDCC premiered by they'd be orderable and ship like any other items.

What there is NOT without a question is any SDCC Exclusive from the Indiana Jones license.

I'm with ya, but maybe Indy stuff just isn't that popular? I'd have thought the Adventure Indy would be sold out by now.

I think the reason it hasn't sold out is because people had already been making their own custom Indys for years. The dodgy body and paint apps probably didn't help either.

Specifically, how could SSC Indy stuff have been proven unpopular when it took AGES for SSC to even place the first figure up for order? Same with the second and third figures.

SSC probably lost a good 25% of the interested customers by lollygagging on it. This line should have been 4 figures deep by the time KOTCS was in theaters and 8 figures deep today.

I would definitely agree with this, they did take it very slow, maybe too slow.
