I had the arcade game Marble Blast Ultra and noticed today it had gone from my library and can no longer be downloaded from the marketplace. It's also vanished from my download history , apparently it wont be available again for download because of some type of problem with the developers.

This was a while ago but I've only just noticed it's gone, can xbox do this and I'm just left to have spent money on a game I can never play again ?. :monkey4
It's made me think about downloading any arcade games in the future again. :dunno

This hasn't happened before as far as I know. I have a few games that are no longer available for sale but I can still play them (Robotron comes to mind).

Need to check myself when I get home since I have Marble Blast.

I just turned on my 360 after reading this thread. Mine is still there and playable. My kids love this game. Maybe the issue is region specific? I'm in the States.

All the article states is that it's no longer offered as a download. Would be surprising if it was actually swiped off your HDD. How would that even be possible?

Yeah, my game is still there and playable. Have you done some cleaning on your harddrive recently and maybe deleted it by accident?

I've actually never deleted anything off my hard drive. :lol
I'm not sure what's happened ?. I'm kind of annoyed about it though , I loved that game. :rotfl

If you connect to the internet they could possibly do that.

Maybe, but it seems unlikely unless there was some visible update being applied. Mortal Kombat can update in the background without the player knowing, but they built the game that way ahead of time.

Either way, this game came off the HDD somehow whether by accident or on purpose. It seems Microsoft would have to know in some fashion and should make an official statement if true.

This is one of many reasons why I hate everything going digital. If you have that disc (whether it be a music CD or a DVD/Blu_ray), it can never be taken away from you; it's always there waiting for you. But with digital downloads, who knows......

Agreed. I've never bought anything to keep digitally other than xbox live arcade games. Not only do I feel safer with discs but I prefer them anyway.
