I preordered this and the separate Oompa Loompa. I wish the single oompa loompa came with an alternate portrait. But I have the two custom versions so I can mix and match it up.

I'm trying to convince Mars Todo a 2nd portrait for the Ompa.

Such a tremendous set. Not my cup of tea, but I love that Mars Toys is taking on things like this. Credit must go to Rainman to really putting a 1/6 scale Wonka on the radar many years ago, though. I hope Mars takes his lead and later does Jack Torrance with Danny and his bike, as well as Regan from the Exorcist and her bed.

Andgor/Plastic Earth did a 1/6th Willy Wonka (with a Joy Snyder sculpt) about 10 years before Rainman, but it was a one of a kind for a toy magazine article.

I wish more people and companies would. There's a lot of IP out there that have been sitting and waiting for companies to take a crack at them. I'm elated some are finally dipping their toes in to see if there are customers interested.

Think I've seen enough comic book stuff that it's refreshing seeing this, granted I believe this already on day 2 has sold incredibly well.

And that's what I find most frustrating.

There are literal warehouses of Marvel/DC and Star Wars collectibles, youd think oversaturation would kicked in by now.

I'm glad companies like Mars Toys, Kaustic Plastik and Icnoniq are taking on stuff that is outside of current trends. It's getting me excited about collecting again.
