Yeah, that Minimate has been more popular than probably any other mass-released figure. It is due in part to the character's popularity, but also to the coolness of the figure itself and all of his options/accessories (2 different masks, bare face underneath, several guns, straps, etc.).

Minimates are great. To paraphrase a great, contemporary thinker--anyone who doesn't know. . .better call somebody.

Has diamond ever Re-released minimates?? These need to get back on the streets. U know what's funnier? The marvel legends deadpool loose goes for the same amount!

They have, though usually with at least minor changes in terms of paint apps or packaging (for release at different outlets like Toys R Us, or specialty shops like FYE). I thought Deadpool would be a no-brainer for a re-release, but the high cost due to all the accessories might make that difficult to justify from DST's point of view. The 90s version and the forthcoming X-Force version might be the closest you can get.

Well, there are also 2 versions from the horrible Wolverine movie, if you think that counts.

I'm sure the fact that it comes with Wolverine doesn't hurt either.

I've passed up a lot of Minimates and that other two pack (the kiddy looking figures) because I wanted one of them but not the other.

That Wolverine (technically, one with a different colored belt but otherwise the same) actually warmed pegs at Toys R Us for awhile. So that might play some small role, but make no mistake--Deadpool is what people are paying that money for.

For those that don't know, there are about 1,000 different Wolverine Minimates in existence.
