Yeah, you know what.... sorry, I shouldn't have expressed my dislike like that.

It's totally cool to like the XM one. I obviously don't. And as a DD fanatic, it struck a chord with me how poor I think it is considering I really wanted XM to knock it out of the park.

But for those that like it, great! More DD attention the better! Hope he comes in and shines and y'all are happy with the it. To each their own.

sideshow's version is way better, hands down! to be honest, i do like "modernized" versions of characters, I actually really like newer takes, but what xm did, nope, not feeling it at all.

Being a huge DD fan myself, I also like the SS version the best. XM's looks nice but for some reason the SS one just stands out to me and what I have always thought DD would look like. The sculpt is great, the outfit texture is great and the color is so vibrant.

This is simple who like regular version get SSC and the modern get the XM but in my case I like both so I gonna get both :rotfl

Well, I'd sworn off Marvel PFs. And I'd sworn off any "premium format" which was fully sculpted.

But I've finally broken down and ordered. him. Looks to be one of the best in recent times.

Im not an XM fanboy nor SS hater, as long as I see something I like, I will buy it. I am waiting for a 1/4 DD for a while and when SS previewed their version, Im underwhelmed, the pose and style is not.my cup of tea but I would never bad mouth it coz I understand every artist has different artistic interpretation of the character, the same goes with XM. Its just tiring to see bashing other company's version just because you prefer the other. Anyway I know how you feel especially you liked DD so much, I also feel the same way on some of my favorite characters. Whats important is we are happy with what we have.

There are only 4 DD statues that I really like. Hard Hero, SSC COM, Bowen museum, and Bowen action on a gargoyle. All in his classic red costume. None of the other DD statues I have seen appeal to me. My decision on the 4 I listed is not based on scale but just the fact that I like those sculpts. I think they all capture the essence of DD very well.

He won't.

And how does that base MAKE sense? There's no building that looks like that. A window pane in front of a sliding building with a lions head on the side?

Enjoy a character that doesn't exist :)

It's called a flying buttress, bro...look it up. There is no window pane on the base...that's why they haven't coloured it in like the Elektra base. I also assume you haven't seen the new unmasked portrait with the glasses? I'm not saying you have to like the XM piece, but at least get your facts straight.

The long lost Bmutha Returns, welcome back man.

Not even close.

DD has been my guy my entire life. I've got the entire DD run since 1964, commissioned dozens of comic artists for original art, collected every odds and sods of DD there is.

The XM piece is a catastrophe. The shoulder pads, the brassiere-like backpack, the child's play unmasked face, the hockey stick length billy clubs. I don't even know what's going on with the base. Where have you ever seen anything like that? It's a bunch of building pieces put together that don't make any logical or realistic sense.

If you like it, then great! It's all personal taste. I just think it's an utter disaster and thankfully I won't have to pony up any money for it.

The XM DD is a mockery.

The base is a flying buttress, which was used in classic gothic architecture.

This is the revised unmasked head for the XM Daredevil.

I recognised the base as a flying buttress immediately because I am familiar with them. I thought it was a fantastic idea for a Daredevil base. I hated the previous unmasked head but love the new one, and I love the modern look of the costume. Overall, I love the XM piece and have it ordered.

I think the SS one looks great too. I really like the texture of the suit and I prefer the headsculpt to the XM masked one. However, the pose doesn't really work for me personally. Both look great though and it just comes down to personal preference. I don't think either one is a 'disaster' or 'mockery'.

Always liked the look/texture of this suit, and probably would've ordered him had the pose been different! That said, the production shots look really good! Looks like he turned out really well, and people who ordered him should be excited!
