Does anyone have this figure??? It's 8 inches and the photos I've seen (though rather small....look decent). I've searched high and low for a SSC Dr. Doom and may have to settle on this one for now. But before I bought one, I wanted to know what you all thought about the figure.
Sorry I can't post pics of it...I'm at work on my boss' Mac computer (I hate Macs - but that's a whole other story) and I can't figure out how to convert the file properly...so anyway, here is a link to site that shows a picture of one.

Thanks!!!

:monkey4 Don't Do It!!!! I beg you not to buy that. Please. My opinion, anyway.

There are so many other better Dooms Jen, this one is pretty bad (not good).

If you want the absolute best get Sideshow's:

Bowen's full size is Awesome as well:

There's also a Mini version which is just as detailed.

I've never seen one in person, and I value your opinion. Thought I would actually get some feedback on this one before I decided whether or not to buy....normally I just buy and worry about it later. I'm getting smarter, me thinks! :lol That, and I'm running low on money and don't want to buy something that turns out being a pile of crap.

All opinions on this piece are very much welcome and appreciated.

Check my edited post above. ^^^

The Marvel Milestones Doom is a nice alternative as well. Better than that Maquette at least!

Of course I would want the SS one! :D I've spent the last 3 hours looking for one from Australia to Denmark to Italy to Germany to Japan, etc.....there simply does not seem to be any available anywhere in the world at the moment.

That Bowen one looks cool...I hadn't seen any of those for sale, but will look some more.

Thanks for the advice. I will be passing on the Marvel Maquette. :)

Okay - 2nd question: Is the full size Bowen figure worth $250?

YES, it's huge and the sculpt is awesome! It's not the SSC Doom by any means, but still very very nice. I'm also trying to get one to go with all of my other Doom stuff.

It's setting record prices. One just ended on ebay for 1325.00 I'd try to either get it right away, or wait quite a while. The upcoming movie may cause a temporary increase.

Well, I bought it. WHAT THE FU*K AM I DOING?!?!?! This board has become very dangerous to me....it is opening my eyes to too many things that I want, that I never before knew existed....I was blissfully naive...now I am burning holes in all my wallets and well....I do have to admit that I am loving every minute of it. But it is a damn good thing I have no children or else their college funds would all be spent. :lol :lol

You only live once Jen and when you go you can't take the money with you! You won't be dissapointed, it's a great piece, i saw it at a comic shop a while back and they wanted $500 for it! I wanted it so bad, but there was no way I was going to pay that much for it.

Congrats on the very nice addition to your collection! :clap

P.S. Impulse buying is but one of the symptoms of our disease. :D

I agree that this board makes life super expensive. On another note, if the Sideshow Doom came along at the right price...would you snatch it up and worry about it later?:monkey3

$1325 for the SS one right?? I couldn't find any on ebay anywhere...all the auctions must have ended. For now, I ended up getting the Bowen full scale one for $265 and will keep on looking for the SS one. That piece is a beauty.....someday...someday. Actually it's probably a good thing that those auctions ended because I REALLY couldn't afford that much right now, and knowing me and my lack of self control, I probably would have tried to win it.
