I think I would faint if I ever got this piece!! And then I would wake up with a permanent grin on my face!!!! I'm smiling just THINKING about it!!!!!!

Well I do have that piece on pre-order (exclusive of course!) Thank god I was around at the right time to get this one for retail. There is a small lining in the clouds.

I too am thankful that I was around to order Darkness at retail but even if he drops in price I won't care because he is just simply brilliant looking.


Just please Sideshow make him out of polystone! He deserves the best.

Thanks for your input....I decided not to get the maquette, thanks to the advice of many on this board and went with the Bowen one for now....I ofcourse would JUMP at the opportunity to own a SS one...I'm working on it...so hopefully someday it will all work out for me!

I agree, but I feel that it would be a minimal requirement to even discuss Darkness and Doom in the same breath!

Hi all.

Can somebody explain to me why there seems to be so much disdain for the Dr Doom maquette?

I'm new to the hobby and was looking at this item to be my first piece, but after reading the replies here I'm reconsidering. I know there are better, more expensive statues of Dr Doom out there to be had, but as an introductory piece is it terrible?

Of course I would want the SS one! I've spent the last 3 hours looking for one from Australia to Denmark to Italy to Germany to Japan, etc.....there simply does not seem to be any available anywhere in the world at the moment.

That Bowen one looks cool...I hadn't seen any of those for sale, but will look some more.
