Broke and happy
Acting is freaking spectacular in this.
It's like they took everything that was fun about the first episode and ran it into the ground.
I get your point, but having binged "Servant" some weeks back, this doesn't come close to mild PG-13 psychological horror, let alone supernatural horror. It's all just too watered down and MCU-fied for me. It could still pick up and be an enjoyable adventure series, but so far Steven's too irritating for me, and the tone's become too tiresome.Dodgy CGI aside, I really liked episode 2. It feels like a transitional episode after the intriguing first episode.
I didn’t find it too quippy or funny, myself. If anything, I felt it was mostly (delightfully) uncomfortable, from the interrogations and relationship drama to the cult to the inner character bickering. I’m happy to see more supernatural horror in the MCU.
Mandarin dialogue I give you but to say the acting is not great makes me now not agree with your Mandarin complaint lolThe acting is not so great so far. Steven especially.
Also, the Mandarin lines in ep2 were so badly delivered I could not understand a word nor could my Chinese wife. We had to refer to the subtitles. I know Mandarin is hard but surely Disney can afford a Mandarin speaker to coach the actors.
Oscar Isaac is great in almost everything but as Steven he is very unconvincing. Ethan Hawk is good thoughMandarin dialogue I give you but to say the acting is not great makes me now not agree with your Mandarin complaint lol
