Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

Yea it was a pretty random and horrible list. Someone on reddit made it I think.

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

I have really big doubts that Marvel after doing so well as far as casting and costumes goes they will crap on spiderman this hard.

If there is one thing Marvel does well is the costumes and the castings. why would they mess this up so bad?

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

NOW it does.
No, actually that makes zero sense :lol in the context of the concept art.

-He's supposed to be barefoot cause that is how he sticks to walls(if they go for a Raimi style wall crawling), and looks good.
-Shoes look like standard martial arts foot protection, nothing complicated at all, although I like the toeless boots you gave him too, I could go either way.
-They were standard knee pads to begin with :lol and lighter color gives nice variation, don't quite feel the darker color.

Btw nice job on the PS, looks like plenty people here are PS masters, while I struggle with paint :lol

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

It's going to be difficult to beat the ASM2 costume. That costume was almost perfect...if not perfect.

So far Spidey has been lucky with the film costumes he's been given.

Exactly!

Its a simple yet practical design that actually explains why he can crawl on walls, his toes and fingers being exposed might not look cool, but it makes sense which is why I like it.

Yeah, Gaspar has a point here.

I hope they still with this Mangaverse inspired costume.

The raised webbing on the first suit was always somthing cool i liked about the raimi outfit. It was silver but could also change black when hit by the sun. For it's time it was a unique modern spin on the character.

The ASM2 suit is quite frankly the best suit onscreen with its big eyes, bright red and blue and its raised black webbing. I think the way the head is shaped is also a big plus.

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

so this new spiderman is not afraid of leaving fingerprints fking EVERYWHERE?

Man that ASM2 suit was perfect. I really would have been okay with them just porting that suit (and even Garfield in it) right over into the MCU.

The only criticisms I can possibly field at that suit are the boots being too thick and not having the fat spider-logo from the comics on the back.

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

That ASM2 won't be beat in terms of faithfulness to the comic. :lecture

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

it is depressing and sad that one movie, one single movie ruined the BEST costume that has ever been made on a movie....

no one will ever use that, not only because Marvel wants to put their own spin to it but also because they dont want to associate with that movie....

I dont think we will ever see that suit or something like that for at least a decade.

:(

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

I was thinking the same thing :lol total waste that costume was, at least fans got cool figures out of it.

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

ASM 2 Spidey's eyes were too big, and the spider symbol was off, but still, I would be thrilled if they continued to use that same costume in all future Spidey films. It was the best one so far, and I do love it.
