Appearance-wise, I think Zendaya could actually work. There's something very classic comic booky about her smile. Dye her hair a maroon or burgundy and I can easily see her delivering this line:

Having that said, I know nothing about her acting. Seems like she's known for Disney shows, which explains why she was cast here. Hope it works out.

PS: She looks a helluva lot more MJ-esque than the actress they were going to cast for ASM2.

My daughter watches her on K.C. Undercover, such a horrible show, might just be enough to keep me away from the movie.

For those that like Pizza, eggs and TDTESS flying Saucers, Zendaya's got none of that. However if you like wood planks, pancakes and the state of Kansas, she just might be for you.
