I don't see how they could afford to make this game if it were 3d. I'm very happy with the 2d sprites as long as the gameplay rocks.

Unfortunately sprites aren't happening. I wouldn't doubt the game is cel-shaded in some form.

That would be crazy if some Marvels had their film version designs in the game. For me, Iron Man comes to mind.

I agree! It would be sweet if it featured the movie versions of the X-Men, Spider-Man, Iron Man and Blade as unlockable costumes.

In the silhouettes for the Marvel side some have guessed Captain America and Deadpool.

Viewtiful Joe? Sheva? Chun-Li? Dante? (one more on second from left. not sure).

Hopefully we'll get more info later today.
