Looks like there'll be good fight choreography and the glowing fist is a great effect. I'm at a loss about why we need to be scared of bubbles.

Nah...

Eh, Danny was never a macho-man. He was, and still is, pretty jokey. And they are following Fraction's run (which was the one to really flesh out IF), so it makes sense they were gonna go with such a look.

I'm wondering if he'll wear the suit on the last episode like how DD did in season one.

Well, to be fair, IF is lean in the comics, he's not buff. His power comes from his chi, not his muscles. The whole "ripped AF" look he sometimes sports, is plausible because he's in a comic book. Look at these pics from the run that's being adapted:

As for the geek thing, well, Danny always was goofy looking:

I agree that he could've used a bit more muscle definition, for a more "ripped" look and a tad more mass, but considering he got only 6 weeks before filming began to research the role, get into character and train, I'd say he looks pretty good, especially if you compare his build to the one from the books.

Nah, man! :lol
I'm talkin' about the curls + sideburns/mustache/beard set.
The pants are silly too, could at least use the actual martial arts trousers.
Overall looks like a cheap hipster cosplay.

Oh yeah, that's true. I guess they were going for the "bad-ass in sweatpants" look, but it looks more like an akward stock-photo. I guess we'll have to wait and see. It's weird we don't have a trailer yet though. There's just a bit over a month remaining.

I hope it will be. LC was dissapointing, but I've been really looking forward to this, as it's more or less an adaptation of the Brubaker/Fraction run. I can't wait for the Immortal Weapons, and I hope Orson Randall makes an appearance.

Yeah LC was good enough to not be considered disappointing for me.

I loved that the villains remained free and it was the hero this time that went to jail at the end.

When I watch superhero movies or tv shows the last thing i'm thinking about is wanting to see their exact comic history being carried over to movie format.

Their complicated stories will only work in the comics.

It moved too slow for me. 13 eps is too much, and the same goes for DDS2. I'm still at ep 5 or 6 of LC, and I'll probably just finish it just to be up-to-date. It's not "bad", and it's well-made, but certain things didn't... "click", for some reason. I generally prefer smaller seasons, and while the characters were great, after a while it started losing steam. At least IMO.
