Thats pretty good news for PS3 owners, but what about mass effect 1? Wasn't the whole gimmick of Mass effect was that whatever you did in 1 effected the future titles? I guess they all start off with default beginnings. They should sell it as a package deal with Mass effect 1 and 2.

I wonder if Bioware is actually developing it for PS3 or if they're sending over to a different company like they did with Dragon Age.

They should have tried to get it out at the end of this year so people remember it for GOTY. I honestly think Mass Effect 2 is the top game this year, but it might be forgotten since it came out much earlier.

Other than a few big titles like God of War here and there, there haven't been any other big titles the rest of the year other than Mass Effect. That changes very soon with an onslaught of things like Halo, Gran Turismo, Fallout, etc. So yeah, it sadly may end up forgotten.

Well, they better include an opening movie explaining what the frak is going on.....is this a victory for PS3 fans? I dunno...........I am sure they will include a bonus level exclusive to the PS3 to try and excite PS3 fanboys

Tecmo snuck around the exclusivity contract with Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. It worked because they called it a remake with a different name using a completely new engine developed without Microsoft's funding. Ninja Gaiden 1 was not Microsoft produced.

Bioware could do the same for Mass Effect 1 if they want to release it for PS3. It'd take a lot of effort though, moreso than just porting it over.

I never said Microsoft produced Ninja Gaiden 1.

Microsoft Game Studios published it.

I could see the myriad of changes made for Sigma 2...but not a whole lot was changed for the first.

Regardless, this move would never have been made if not for EA.

Actually, I used the word 'produced' in a general way. Producers and Publishers share similar responsibilities.

Also, I was right either way. Microsoft Game Studios did not publish Ninja Gaiden 1, Tecmo did, so they didn't have to circumvent any contracts in order to develop and release Ninja Gaiden Sigma for PS3.
