Yeah I can see him having a similar presence and gravitas, even if he looks nothing whatsoever like Stevenson.

I’m still of the mind that they should pick up Baylans story in animation instead. I dunno, gonna be weird seeing another actor in the role for live action.

I thought they'd go animation for his continuation, because the change of actor is going to be very distracting.

Likeness aside, Rory is over 2" taller than Ray. It'll be like Hayden Christensen getting longer mechanical legs to become Vader.

That's going to be interesting. Apparently he's even taller that Ray was. Baylan is going to look even more intimidating than he did before.
If they have to continue his story, I'd say Rory is actually a pretty good choice. Even still, Baylan will forever be Ray's character.

I think they can do quite a bit with hair and makeup to increase the likeness. I wish him the best. Ashoka has been the best new series to me, and I am looking forward to more.

The one thing that they can't get replicated is Rays line delivery and accent. I doubt the voice will carry the weight and gravitas that Ray had. Which is sad.

I bet the reduce his role considerably.

I am anticipating a fully hooded Baylan for most of the season...

I am sure they could do a "he went to world between worlds and was regenerated like DR Who" or "he wears a helmet now". Whatever they do, folk won't like it at first, then they will decide it's cool after watching the scenes.

The show itself though doesn't get me excited. Hope it is far better than season 1.

I'm hoping we only have to spend a few episodes with Ahsoka and Sabine stranded on the planet, as I just don't see a ton of story potential there. And I'd much rather see them back fighting Thrawn than exploring ancient ruins or going on mystical journeys or whatever.

Filloni did seem to acknowledge the pacing issues with S1 though, so hopefully that will at least be fixed.

Yeah, I want them back with Ezra and hopefully have an appearance and significant role for Zeb. I'm down for this being "Rebels Season 5"
