O, ok let me change the statement.

"but would anyone notice if Toy Guru didn't say anything... and...... if they did, it would be way later on I would think."

:lol

it wasnt Toyguru who said anything till after the fact....it was the He-Man.Orger's who made the stink first and caught the Error....they find fault in everything and they have good eyes sometimes..so once the complaining began there (just before release) Toyguru had to say something

good question...I am sure we'd eventually see it pending on how much we anylize the figures...heck,never noticed backward shoulders He-Man till it was dissected by the Org.....All hail the Org..greatest and biggest He-Man website of all time

Some people seem to be making a pretty big deal about it over on the mattycollector boards too. The mod's there are clamping down on a lot of it though. Comparing it to the He-Man shoulder reversal is a bit weak though, Roboto's shoulders have a pattern that runs down onto his bicep, it's way more obvious a mistake than He-Man's.

roboto tomorrow for me. too bad he's gonna be second rate cuz i just got my HT T-1000 today. i can see myself playing with this one for weeks. if anyone needs me, i'll be alternating between playing with the T-1000 and sleeping all day.

Pfft, I've had my T-1000 for two weeks. AND I got the extra parts to make another one! Also got Black Widow. Roboto will be here today too! Meow-meow eat it Craw...meow-meow!

I know about that, having to sleep all day; third shift sucks.

Okay guys, all kidding aside with my photo (it's been a few months since posting one of those gems). Here's my honest assessment of Roboto and the great shoulder uproar.

Yes, okay it's backwards. Honestly I wouldn't have been able to initially tell being as someone brought it up and I saw the old figure comparison. Yes the design indicates looking side-by-side that the shoulders are backwards.

From more a side view you can see that bit of a gap thing, but on the back it looks filled out and okay, not really a bother because I would have thought that was just the mold and the way it was done to allow for movement at those joints. From the front (IF you never knew the mold detail of the shoulder was supposed to run down the front) I wouldn't have known any better. I take these figures as revamps of the originals and never expected them to follow 100% of the vintage figures with some creative liberties. Being as I display mine from the front this error doesn't bother me much at all and it actually looks pretty normal.

I'm really more upset that the jaw doesn't go up and down like the old one and that the jaw is made of soft plastic that doesn't easily move up and down, but that's a minor gripe for someone like me who takes them out and just displays them in a case.

I just don't see it being as bad as the people on the org are in a big uproar over.

Fair enough. I think what gets under peoples skin though is that there has been a shoulder reversal issue before. It's as the saying goes: "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me."
After that first shoulder mistake, as well as any subsequent ones like Adam's missing sword catch, Toy Guru should have had a checklist. For example:
1. Ensure no prototype pics showing extra pieces are released
2. Ensure all accessories and harnesses etc. are present
3. Ensure all parts are assembled correctly
You know, the basics.

Wow agent_85, we are still on the shoulders?

Ya know I think all will be all right once the second release of Roboto comes around. :D
