Same here. This line got me back into collecting after a few years out of the hobby, but after all the b.s. with Matty, faulty qc, and lineup choices, I've dropped MOTUC like a bad habit. I'll still probably grab Man-E-Faces and Clawful, but outside of main classics, I'm done. Most of my collecting focus has been shifted towards 1/6 scale stuff, Hot Toys specifically.

Where'd you get that rock? Is it an aquarium accessory.

It's actually a geode bought in the 1970s by my parents and then passed on to me. I use it in photos all the time. I also have a water pump from a 1979 Datsun I use all the time as well.

I'd like something a bit more MOTUy for Panthor to stand on. I might end up making something even though I have no clue on making faux rock, specifically faux rock that will fit in stylistically with the MOTU stuff.

i made my own rock for pictures awhile back. now i keep it in my display as a weapon holder.

you have to go to hobby lobby or someplace that sells model railroading supplies. they have various rubber molds for making rocks and ledges. just buy a mold and a carton of plaster and you can make your own. mine kinda sucks. i got too many air bubbles in it.

The bubbles look natural, there's a lot of different stone formations that have bubbles like that. The rock I used in those pics is an actual rock. I think I'm going to sculpt a cliff edge ramp sort of thing for Panthor.

never thought i'd say this, but this figure is a piece of ____.

box has "the original" on it. does anybody else have that?

whip is just wrapped up and then shoved between her long hair and cape. it was stuck to her cape so all the silver paint came off and left a big silver line on the cape. sword is crap. the twist ties were so tight around it that it left permanent notches in the blade and the hilt. rubber hand is in an ackward postion and there is no way to twist it without tearing it. her right elbow joint is made out of rubbery material as well and it was twisted in an ackward position in the box and is now permantly bowed. i tried to work the arm in the opposite direction to work out the bowing, and it looks like the elbow joint is tearing. the hair isn't attached right to the top of the head. you can see right under the top knot from the front. and of course it's flesh color under there so it is extra noticeable. i put the silver mask on for a second and all the silver paint scraped off and is now stuck in her hair.


i am not impressed. this figure is gonna be buried on the shelf behind the rest of the Horde.



oh, and the whip is ass-ugly. why do we need combs? stupid idea.

I do admit I always thought the whip was a bad idea. it looks stupid and forced. with she ra's axe they could make it work, but the whip just looks silly., yet I still don't have mine so i can't judge for myself.

See my complaints were LEGIT!! but I get called a party pooper and put on ignore because of it? (shakes head) I love this line,but Catra is FAIL quality wise...Sword,whip,Hand is just the beggining of it for complaint...I find it interesting that some of you gladly hand over Mattel your money and take whatever they present to you
