Why doesn't Mattel just use a preorder system for all the bigger items? I really want more vehicles in the line. Why not do what they did for Grayskull? Just make a blueprint and take preorders. I'd love to get a landshark for this line.

Well, with all the people pissed off at Mattel and TG about the CG size, the Fang Man fiasco, the fact that vintage is almost done, I'd be VERY surprised if the line survives next year... The only way I see that happening is with less SKU's otherwise I think MOTU will end as we know it with CG.

I really hope we see TwoBad, and I'm sure they will keep releasing them in one form or another, exclusives, quarterly, conventions... etc.

I would like ONE more year and I'll be pretty content....if not,Just give me Two-bad

I know it's been gone over and over and there's no way to actually know… but for a failing line they sure as hell seem to be…

- making more figures each year than they have in the past. The Anny figures last year and the Filmation this year.

- more figures with more new tooling.

- making bigger more complicated stuff like Granamyr or Castle Greyskull (yes I know this was predicated on POs but they still even considered doing it).

It's hard for me to buy that the line is dying when Mattel seem to be putting more and more money into it and and making more and more product.

I think the line is actually doing well enough to keep going,I did think gloom and doom, but it does seem to keep on going and really shows no signs of stopping because the fans keep on buying

There are two vehicles I really want- Battle Ram and Land Shark!!!

I agree,just do pre-orders

Figure wise if I get Two-Bad and Modulok I'll be happy. Don't really care to finish off NA or POP at $40 a piece. CG's reveal kind of disappointed me. I'll wait until SDCC to make a final judgement but it irked me how it didn't match the b-sheet and removed stuff they said they wouldn't.

No more vehicles pisses me off too. I can't get a Battle Ram or Talon Fighter, but we get a $100 3-pack of figures based off of obscure art on the model kits that all of 10 people 'demanded'. :rolleyes2

I think the line has at least one more year in it. I doubt we are gonna see Two-Bad, Modulok, Horde Troopers, and Tung Lashor this year.

these will show up in '14

the last 3 figures for this year are Geldor,a 200x character (I think its Dactys),a Filmation character (I think Strongarm)

Though the Filmation character also could be Skeletor's Robots 2 pack(but 3 or 4 robots instead of 2),which could open the door for another vintage MOTU character for Dec (Rio Blast or Ninjor)

I'd be happy with a full year in 2014 and then 2-packs or 6-figure subs in 2015 and beyond to get a few of the lesser known NA and POP figures out for those who want it all (like me!) even if they are a bit more expensive because they are more limited.

Just received Rammy and Jitsu...
What can I say!! Rammy is seriously one of the most kick-*** figures of this line... If you can, get it... even at secondary market... it's THAT awesome!!

Jitsu, he's one of my ALL TIME favorite characters from MOTU... I still have my vintage one, and I am really happy to finally have it. My only gripe is that, as cool as the headsculpt is, I wish it was closer to the vintage one... this one is a bit TOO detailed, similar to Count Marzo's head actually.

BUT it's absolutely Awesome!
Anywho...
Some quick pics!!

These guys rock!! :rock!

i'm not so sure.

you make a good point.

and lets also not forget we have 200x variants that people want. and NA characters that people want.

It's possible the line may end next year. but i thin kit's more likely we will see MOTUC continue for a while.

****, I want Modulok so bad!

Modulok and Two Bad are right up there for me too. I think I'd be happy if the line ended, as long as we got them. That's, what, 1982-85 complete? I was pretty much done by then.

Somehow, we had Ninjor, though... I think my kid brother got him. I have to admit, for nostalgia's sake, I'd take a MOTUC Ninjor. :)

hmm… wonder if between a Two-Bad and Mantena we could have the parts needed to keep Modulok from needing to be entirely original tooling.

I'm really hoping that Modulok is the SDCC exclusive this year and the Horde Troopers are coming in the 2-pack in 4Q. If that's the case they can blow it out in 2014 with the following:

Two Bad
Extendar
Rio Blast
Rokkon
Stonedar
Dragstor
Ninjor
Tung Lashor
Squeeze
Snake Armor He-man
Eldor
Lodar

Stridor
Battle Ram

That's probably my top 12 figures and 2 deluxe/vehicles, but I'm sure they aren't all going to be in the 2014 lineup even if we get that many spots. I know Mattel wants to get to the most wanted NA and POP such as Hydron, Flogg, Glimmer, Angella, etc.

I expect we'll get 3 (maybe 4) fully tooled figures in '14.....

with 2 NA (Flogg,Hydron)

2-3 POP (Glimmer,Mermista,Angella)

plus 2 Filmation (Scorpia,Lizardman)

The rest vintage-(Two-bad,Rio Blast,Ninjor,Dragstor,Squeeze)

oversized- Modulok
2 pack- Horde Troopers

I would bet 75% of this list will be correct

I think if they do another Filmation sub (hopefully just 6 figs) they bump out all Filmation slots in the Sub to make sure we get as many vintage as possible

I'm really surprised that Ram Man sold out before Jitsu. Since he used 100% new tooling, I had assumed Mattel would have made a stockpile of Ram Mans to sell, enough to even put him on the sale page along side Battlecat and the weapons pack.

A lot of people have been waiting since 2009 for Ram Man. I don't see how Mattel could underestimate the demand for him but they did :cuckoo: But maybe this makes him a viable candidate for a second run with the orange and red cardback colors.

Nah! Fast sellouts means dissapointed customers,Mattel attempting to make customers realize they better Sub or Miss out...

I think from here on out,Most of the figures are going to be quick sellouts and Sub only

I can See Karatti,Fighting Foe Men,Octavia, maybe even NA He-Man,Castaspella as Sub only

I could see that as a NYCC Exclusive or something down the road

The "sell outs" it's entirely possible are artificial. Not saying they always are… but Mattel can take stuff down from the store whenever they want.

Speaking of… have they held true to never selling any figures after the initial sale promise they made… I want to say back before the 2012 sub? I haven't really been paying attention.

It seems like most of the 2012 Club Eternia figures have not been put up for a sale a second time. Kobra Khan had some customer service stock this month that sold out lightning fast through early access and Mekaneck will be the same next month. Scott has said they are 100% sold through of their stock of Fisto and Sorceress though.

2 pack- Horde Troopers

teemu, I keep seeing you predict that the Horde Troopers won't be coming this year in the 4Q 2-pack. Is there any specific reason you think they are coming later? As long as we get them, I don't care when it is, but I think Scott did everything but confirm them to try to sell more subscriptions last summer.
