Why doesn't Mattel just use a preorder system for all the bigger items? I really want more vehicles in the line. Why not do what they did for Grayskull? Just make a blueprint and take preorders. I'd love to get a landshark for this line.
Well, with all the people pissed off at Mattel and TG about the CG size, the Fang Man fiasco, the fact that vintage is almost done, I'd be VERY surprised if the line survives next year... The only way I see that happening is with less SKU's otherwise I think MOTU will end as we know it with CG.
I really hope we see TwoBad, and I'm sure they will keep releasing them in one form or another, exclusives, quarterly, conventions... etc.
I know it's been gone over and over and there's no way to actually know… but for a failing line they sure as hell seem to be…
- making more figures each year than they have in the past. The Anny figures last year and the Filmation this year.
- more figures with more new tooling.
- making bigger more complicated stuff like Granamyr or Castle Greyskull (yes I know this was predicated on POs but they still even considered doing it).
It's hard for me to buy that the line is dying when Mattel seem to be putting more and more money into it and and making more and more product.

I think the line has at least one more year in it. I doubt we are gonna see Two-Bad, Modulok, Horde Troopers, and Tung Lashor this year.

****, I want Modulok so bad!

I'm really hoping that Modulok is the SDCC exclusive this year and the Horde Troopers are coming in the 2-pack in 4Q. If that's the case they can blow it out in 2014 with the following:
Two Bad
Extendar
Rio Blast
Rokkon
Stonedar
Dragstor
Ninjor
Tung Lashor
Squeeze
Snake Armor He-man
Eldor
Lodar
Stridor
Battle Ram
That's probably my top 12 figures and 2 deluxe/vehicles, but I'm sure they aren't all going to be in the 2014 lineup even if we get that many spots. I know Mattel wants to get to the most wanted NA and POP such as Hydron, Flogg, Glimmer, Angella, etc.
I'm really surprised that Ram Man sold out before Jitsu. Since he used 100% new tooling, I had assumed Mattel would have made a stockpile of Ram Mans to sell, enough to even put him on the sale page along side Battlecat and the weapons pack.
A lot of people have been waiting since 2009 for Ram Man. I don't see how Mattel could underestimate the demand for him but they did But maybe this makes him a viable candidate for a second run with the orange and red cardback colors.
I expect we'll get 3 (maybe 4) fully tooled figures in '14.....
2 pack- Horde Troopers
