I would love to pick up some vintage MOTU some day, i am pretty sure i have Skeletor somewhere with his shedding claw action or whatever but, no other version of both He-Man and Skeletor was better then the originals. I know i had Hordak and i think i broke the clasps on his chest plate when i younger, i also loved Man-E-Faces for some reason.

i only have a few MOTU figures left. I sold most of them about a year ago. I think all I kept were the Commemorative Series He-Man and Skeletor, Keldor signed by the Horsemen, and the King Greyskull one.

Swwet pics, Ork!
Vintage Hordak was great! I have mine sitting on my desk actually because I'd gotten him out just before the Classics version arrived. Never really cared much for the crossbows for some reason, but the Castle Greyskull accessories solved that. :D

Hey guys I just wanted to share these photos of a custom made Filmation style Hordak courtesy of Pixel Dan from He-Man.org

Enjoy

sdcc secret motu ex announced

Hey MOTU Fans!

Oh man, this is BIG… the design team at Mattel just announced the first book in their "Designed @ Mattel" series and it's a MOTU art book!

The book shows off the fantastic art of the MOTU brand from 1981 through current day. It's packed with never-before-seen Mattel concept art, behind-the-scenes notes, posters, oil paintings, and a whole lot more from across the brand. All that MOTU art from over the years is mighty sweet, but the book also premiers concept art from new projects, like a proposed live action film!

It's a soft-cover edition, limited to only 1,000 numbered copies. Each one comes with a numbered cover ribbon and an embossed seal. The first place they'll be available is San Diego Comic-Con. Purchases will be limited to two per guest, per wait in line. And get this… you can even have your copy signed by the Mattel artists at the show!

If any units remain after the show they may be sold on Mattycollector.com, but honestly, we expect to sell out at SDCC. Be sure to come by the MattyCollector.com booth early for your chance to own a piece of MOTU history!

I collect art books so this is right up my alley, it's awesome that Mattell is doing this!! :rock

I'll try my best to get extra copies to help out my MotU Freaks, but can't promise anything.

Waller, I definitely got you covered.

Wow. Cannot believe how long this thread is!!

Or, more importantly, how I have missed it for so long. Off to buy two classic Skeletor and He-Man figures, one set for me and one for my brother.
