actually an org member says there is a way to tell without opening them but he won't tell cuz he doesn't want scalpors to get an advantage.

I picked up 4 He-Ros at SDCC and when I got home yesterday I decided to take my LED flashlight and see if I could make out which color stones I had. The staff, even though it it closed, is slightly opened on the bottom and sides so when you shine an LED light either from the front or side of the package you can clearly see which stone you have. I got 1 purple and 3 green. Good luck everyone!

He-Ro's celestial sword is pretty cool, imo.
I honestly can't say I would mind the red stone as it matches the the figure nicely, but I'm not going to seek out any color in particular and will try to help anyone in search of all the crystals. I'll certainly be picking up King Grayskull too when he comes around again.
