I tried the lighting trick and compared the numbers on the bottom of the box, wound up with a pair of green gems after finally opening the 2nd one. So I'm curious to know what else there is that would work...

Paper clip through the side breath hole and a slight tug pull down from the hook shape paper clip on the staff, shine the flashlight right in and BINGO!!!!!

I really like the green stone as it offsets the rest of his color pallet. Hopefully this comes out looking right, I've been having some issues with my monitor so my color/brightness is a little off.
