So this is essentially the 1/4 bust (exact same pose and details, almost recast-like) but along with the rest of the body... It should look incredible.

Looks like they are planning to reproduce the original SWS 1/4 scale maquettes with a much beefier base.

It will be interesting to see how well these go-over against all the re-casts that have been masqueraded as "from the original SWS molds" that have flooded the market over the years.

There were only like 4 or 5 complete finished and painted pieces from the original molds (original owned by Stan Winston himself,sold at auction for around $75,000) and then only a hand full of unfinished,unpainted,kits that came from those molds.The rest are recasts from those and not from the actual "original" SWS molds.

I hope they spend the money to make sure this does not start leaning a month after it is released, those tiny legs have me worried with the weight a 1/4 body and head will be.

It will probably have a hollow body,otherwise it will need some kind of support rod like the solid cast originals.The re-casts actually had hollow cast bodies. These of course wouldn't be re-casts perse,but 'replicas' of the originals.

They could always use a translucent plexiglass support rod. Better safe than sorry, especially with such a large and valuable statue...

The other possibility would be to add some kind of internal metal armature through the legs and into the body during casting,but that would probably add to complexity and overall cost.

So that's probably least likely to happen.

favorable guess would be 2-3k. Question is where does it ship from? If it's over seas, holy cow shipping would be insane.
