How quickly did Plastic man disappear? I noticed that the Starro figures are still available. I've seen it at a friends house and if I haven't been on a buying spree and weren't strapped for cash I probably would buy one.

It has a voice chip that tells the history of each character. Each time you press the button it switches to a different character. Pretty cool. it is such a shame the starro heads can't be bought from the site.

yeah that Starro set is great. It's the only mattel item I purchased at SDCC this year. Great to hear Kevin Conroy give you a short character bio.

I know I'm probably asking for it, and I do not begrudge anyone what they collect and buy, but I don't think that Plas is all that great. I contend the DCD Justice figure is still the best Plastic Man in....well, plastic!

I think I'll be more than happy with the DCUC version. I'm not a Ross hater per se but DCD figs continuously disappoint me with their mismatched scale and styles. And Plas with springy legs>DCD's goofy crotch and 'falling over action' IMO.

The Ross version might look better (though that is debatable), but it is hard to call toys with what looks to be 4-6 points of articulation "the best figure" in this day and age, IMO. Most folks just aren't satisfied with DCD's desire to live in the year 2000.

I have that version, too. At the time it was the best rep of PM But like Karamazov said it was too static for me and there are some differences from Giordano's PM which I like better.

I would say, though, I would like more characters done in AR's style. I like his realistic style but DCUC is IT for me.

The boat, perhaps?

apparently so...had no clue plastic man came out. I have no space to display anything at the moment so i have boxes filled with DCUC sitting in the attic. I am current except for P.Man and eradicator. I am glad to see the re-released wave 5. Gotta check ebay when i get the chance.
It sucks not being able to display anything.

I hear that. I have two entire closets filled with boxes of stuff I can't display anywhere. Including DCUC. But does that stop me from buying? Of course not.

This is the only line I am ALL IN with now. I'm seriously considering selling off some HT figures just because I don't have the room for them as well as my Transformers, Joes, and DCUC. I used to have a drafting table, now it's a miniature window into the DC Comics universe...

thanks..never would have thought my wife would ok that. But i mentioned it and she ended up making it for us.
And a huge thank you to you for getting me the figures back then!!
