Mattel: DC Universe Classics

The wave 9 fiasco. Ugh!! I was with BBTS then. BBTS had always provided me with great service and their no fee pre-order pull out was a boost. Mattel screwed most of their online retailers with wave 9 and even thought BBTS was not at fault, my search to get my wave 9 made me look for other vendors leading me to CSC.

You know what sucks, though. A month or so ago I was strolling along some toy aisle and i saw parts of wave 9 on display. I could kill someone for that

We can definately see if that is possible. If they are familar enough with you it could hapeen I guess.

But remember wave 9? CSC got passed over so Walmart and other 'big' retailers could carry the wave. So I think that does prove they don't care about CSC, despite them putting up with their crap wave after wave. And Mattel has never made it up to them by sending a wave to them first or anything like that. I think the guys are CSC are great so I continue to suppor them, despite Mattel's lack thereof.

They got the Ultra rare Modern Naked Cheetahs in at least. Really wish I had ordered one when I had the chance.

oh ok. I've been there. I almost bought a bunch of ____ on sale one time. whenever i get that urge I always get discouraged because of shipping.

Yeah, I didnt care what Thomas and Richard wanted, I wasnt waiting on Matty bull____ to get that one. $30 smacks was worth it to support the homies. I called Richard and ran right over their like a bat outta hell up the 57 to catch them before they closed!!!!
When Mattel didnt have that Cheetah at SDCC this year, I knew I made the right move. Hopefully, they will get around to re-releasing it as according to CSC, they got the wrong Cheetah TWICE, so somewhere, there are more naked Cheetahs sitting in somebody's warehouse.

Yeah I got the whole wave dude. It only took me like 3 weeks of checking daily though

Waiting for them to restock. I've heard from the syndicate that there are alot of people after the 1 per case figures though.

Yeah I think Gold and 'Todd Rice' are the most sought after since they have the C&C piece. Tyr is can be hit or miss since you are only buying him for the figure and not for a C&C piece like some of the others.

In other news, my GLC series 1 arrived today!

Bad news is it is under the tree. 5 more days! I can wait. I got the WILL power

After not looking for them at all, I decided to stop by Wal-Mart for the heck of it on the way home. They had a crapload of the Wal-Mart series. I picked up everybody except for Obsidian. They didn't have him, but I guess I'll have to actively hunt now to try and find him and complete the set.

Another Mattel review tonight, and it's another DCUC review as well. But instead of Green Lantern, this is the regular DCUC wave 14, exclusive to Walmart. I'm looking at four of the figures tonight - Zatanna, Kamandi, Hourman and Gold. I'll check out the other four once I manage to find Todd and Tyr.

Just came across this pic of the wave 16. First time I get to see Bane compared to the rest of the set. I like it. Bane is big but not overtly so, just enough to break a bat's back.

Yeah I was worried about his size original at SDCC. he wasn't a two up and he looked too big to be the right scale. He was like a 1.3-up or something weird. Tt seemed as he was only slightly smaller than Arkillo in height. Glad he came out the right size. Though I suppose too big would have been better than two small.

Still too tall for my taste, but the sculpt is great.

YeS!! Great news. I have been looking for some info on this wave. Finally. Nice Catch, Da Mike!
Anti-Monitor is WAAYY better than his DcD counterpart.
It looks like the skirt and chest piece on the Luthor armor is new which I think looks better than the old one.
How can anybody say that this line is dying when the sculpts are getting better.

Wow. A whole wave of blackest night figures huh? Congrats to all that wanted these but it looks like this will be a wave I will be skipping completely. One of the biggest reasons I love DCUC is because of the variety of character from all across the DCU, and as much as I liked BN and the character designs, all I really want is one definitive version of each character, therefor all of these figures are basically re-paints of existing characters minus Scarecrow for me. And why aren't these in the GL line? I thought that was why they created that separate sub line to begin with?
