Even though I don't have the set, I know there are no new heads. Yes, Hal is metallic in his classic dudes with pupil eyes. Sinestro is the Sinestro we were supposed to get back in wave 3. The constructs are metal men parts and a reused John gun and Hawkman mace in green and yellow plastics. The real seller of the set is of course the corrected Sinestro and the constructs. I don't think any of us need any more Hals

Definitely Hal'd out as well, Fett. Five Hals now, with two more on the way in the form of White/Black Lantern for wave 17. The constructs are nice, just... odd that they gave Hal the gun instead of the fist. I just don't understand how the saw and axe fit better than they do on Gold. And Guy immediately inherited the saw. But yeah... NO MORE HALS FOR AWHILE, MATTEL!

So technically, it's the same Sinestro build from the GL 5 pack except he is in Sinestro costume? The set will be a pass for me, then.

Strangely enough, i only had 2 hals in my collection and one of them i converted to an Abin Sur figure. The Hal in the GL 5 pack will be put on my JL line to restore the roster to full capacity. And I will use the extra Booster to build up my JLI lineup. So the Hals on the wave 17 will be a welcome addition to my collection.

No, its the lean and tall Sinestro that the wave 3 Sinestro was originally supposed to be until the factory shrunk him.

These things are over-priced for what they are, IMO. Not sure if sales can be sustained at Wal-Mart and Target if prices keep jumping, but surely there would be a home for smaller production runs to be sold on MattyCollector.

Ain't that the truth. Still, I'm not above throwing my extras up on the dreaded 'Bay and taking what I can get for 'em. After I purchased the TRU 2 pack, I sold my old Wave 3 Sinestro for around 7 bucks (net) and - as cool as he is - I decided to go ahead list the metallic SuperFriends Hal and his constructs as well. I should get $13 or so outta him when all of the fees are collected and whatnot.

I'm getting to the point where I'm not only super picky about which characters I buy (I was completionist for 13 solid waves...no more) but I'm also looking to offset the price of my few new additions any way I can.

I'd love to break free completely, but dammit...they're just too good.

I'm compelled to keep picking up JSA guys, but apart from that, I've exercised pretty good restraint.

Every couple weeks I seriously consider selling all of mine, but I don't have the heart to do it. Though all they do is rot in a box, these are the dream toys of my childhood.

Went on a mini hunt to TRU looking for the Hal/Sinestro pack but came up empty. I did notice thought that they raised the price on the standard 2 packs from 29.99$ to 31.99$. Thanks TRU

I feel your pain, IC. My TRU has the Sinestro/Hal pack and the DC vs. MOTU packs up to $34.99(!) a hard pill to swallow, certainly, but I wanted my damn (correct) Sinestro. That and I keep justifying that I'll get rewards coupons eventually...

Thanks for the offer, very cool of you to throw it out there! These sets are just starting to hit so I'm not too worried about this set yet. As far as being hard to find, as with all things Mattel produces, it varies by region. Some areas get over-saturated with product while others (like San Diego) seem to often be completely skipped over as was the case with the recent Green Lantern 5 pack that I've yet to physically see here in San Diego.

Just got my wave 10 literally as I was typing this out and and I'm happy to report that I have received exceptional paint on all the figures, a welcome attribute to my figures given my recent luck with the Covergirls Batgirl
