As I think of it, surely Green Arrow and Canary are gonna be re-released in "best of" waves.

I'm sure they will. I'd even say that Wildcat will be a reissue as well.


I'm not sure where Matty said it but all the reissue figures would be available on Matty.com in 2010. In fact, I think there's even a new case coming next year with only reissue figures with stands and no CNC pieces.

Yeah, I figure that Ollie and Dinah will show up as World's Greatest eventually, but seeing as how it took me three months to track down a classic Batman and two of my three Wal-marts are putting out whatever's left of their Cyborg/Maskless Terrys just now, I'm not sure I'm willing to wait for the glut of Cyborgs, Captain Colds, Winterfresh Aquamans and Dr. Impossibles to run out and make way for what I know is out there and that I want now. I hate being an impatient collector sometimes...

ebay does have a few of em but just hope the scalpers dont find out these are somewhat gonna be a little scarce and jack it up like wave 5 but hopefully ill get lucky and find the 4 i need thru the comic store i went to since they get em from entertainment earth

Yeah right. Scalpers are usually just as in the loop as we are. These are currently the new wave 5. If wal-mart or TRU or somebody ends up super-stocking these in a few weeks/months then the prices will die down. But everyone is in panic mode right now so prices are skyrocketing.

$60 for just Green Arrow and Black Canary? That is at LEAST $30 too much!

Well you said it Buttmunch, everyone's in panic mode at the moment, and I wasn't going to go to ebay and pay $30 (at least) for each figure and then have to pay shipping on top of it. I'm just tired of the fruitless hunt that I've been going through to try and find them.

i am mad for a few reasons..the first is that i preordered these the 1st day they posted on BBTS. but then i went back and changed my order from a case to a set.(its my fault)
Another reason is that mattel knew there was product shortage since wave 1 and they still did it again..wtf??? Another reason i am mad is because i was going to use green arrow and black canary for my wedding cake topper and now its going to take me who knows how long or how much $ to get them. F u mattel and your shady business practices.

Just saw series 12 hi-res images and I must say I will be getting them just to complete Darkseid. That 'Killing Glove' on the right hand is full of Kirby goodness! I don't care for the New Gods as a whole, but Darkseid is a must-have.

I had the walmart 5 pack yesterday while checking out, but last minute I did not end up getting it. I have too much 1/6 figures on preorder.

As long as they are giving us nice representations of the characters we want, I don't think there is much chance of collector exodus. People may talk the talk, but the DCUC is as good a line of DC figures as we've had, and so I don't see many walking the walk. Self included

anyone know about power girl being released in a best of series the comic shop i go to their online site has green arrow power girl greenlantern batman and 2 others all with stands , the power girl say its is part of the wal mart line but with just the stand . and all are being released supposedly oct 31st they also got wave 9 being out on sept 30th so i check em out for the ones i need or try their site again .

Powergirl won't be. She is a Wal-mart exclusive and until Mattel's contract ends with them she will remain a Wal-mart exclusive. I don't know why she would even be listed as a possible best of right now.

That Darkseid BAF is the most essential BAF yet in this line, and will go for much money. That is my prediction.

Darkseid will definitely rack up some dollar signs on the aftermarket, one of the reasons I already pre-ordered wave 12. I'm only getting the wave for Darkseid, Mid-nite, the Spectre and maybe Copperhead.

In the same vein, I kind of want to finish Atom Smasher since these jerks are making more JSA characters... so much for only getting the Justice League!

I had the Atom Smasher but sold him. Only vintage JSA for me. Just sold Grundy though, and now kind of wishing I hadn't. . .
