Mattel: DC Universe Classics

[Silent December]

I saw this sale, but it was off by Tueday and it wasnt offered at every store. Really just for the "Mattel takes a crap" wave. Only thing I saw worthwhile was a red parademon, but I only by army builders in pairs, so I passed. There were plenty of the usual suspects, Blue Beetle, Booster, both Bardas, Vigilante, a few Deadshots, Cpt Cold, Kid Flash, WW, Flash, Shazam, Firestorm, AM, Cyborg. Not sure if any of those grab ya??

Yeah, those figures are what is currently sitting out at retail and nothing else. I'm kinda lucky though as I don't have any of these figures so I'm picking them up but I can see that once I get one of each it's going to be though. At this point I think I'm just going to order sets from BBTS. It just does not make sense to drive around like a crazy person wasting time and gas only to find disappointment or a 15$ price tag. PM ya DCfett.

Keep checking TRU...the "exclusive" set they are selling right now has the Hawkgirl in it. I saw one last week. It was gone the next day.

I will, thank you for the heads up. It is upsetting that we are in wave 12 now and I still haven't seen those.

Yeah, it sucks big time but Mattel hasn't been exactly known for their prowess in distribution

And the thing is even if they rerelease Gentleman Ghost and the other HTF Wave 8 figures, there is no guarantee they will be coming with the Giganta pieces. They could just end up with the blue stands. I think right now GG is the hardest to find non-wave 5 figure right now.

I bought one a few weeks ago for $10 shipped with no accessories from a HK seller. It was for a custom, so it worked out pefect. The paint was a little dirty/sloppy so its not really something you would get unless you just absolutely need the figure and nothing else. So it worked out perfectly for me. I just wish my real GG didn't have a nasty paint rub on his leg just above the transition from clear to solid

I agree with you...I doubt we'll ever see any wave 5 or GG released with the CNC parts again...unfortunately.

I for one would very reluctantly bite the bullet and pay the outrageous price for GG if I had a partial Giganta.

Iron is a really great figure. I sold mine because I don't care much for the Metal Men, but as a figure, he might be the most impressive of that whole wave. Excluding Darkseid, of course.

Am I the only one not a fan of Mary Marvel's headsculpt? Also after seeing more pics of Wonder Girl i'm afraid I don't like hers much either.

I don't like Mary's headsculpt, either. Desaad's head is pretty bad, as well. Copperhead might have the best headsculpt of the wave, though it is kind of hard to see.

No, I've thought Mary Marvel's face looks kind of goofy too.

Maybe Mattel just has difficulty doing happy faces. Captain Marvel looks a bit weird, too, in my opinion.

Forgive me, but what is the "mosaic" costume? It doesnt sound too appealing.
