Well, I didn't realize how high I'd gotten in my count until it was pointed out earlier today, so I thought, what the hell, let's celebrate haha.
Firstly, it would be uncharacteristic of me if I didn't make this post filled with an image, so here's a composition featuring some of my favorite acquisitions and photos of them since my 8K blast.
That said, it's been about 4 months since my 8K bonanza with the SSC Old Ben figure, and in realizing that, I've concluded that I've become a chatty son of a ^^^^^ lately haha. I've been on here since like summer 2006, so I averaged about 4000 posts every 9 months before, now I've done that in half the time
That said, as always, I'd like to thank Dave for creating and maintaining this place. I've seen a fair number of boards around, and this is without a doubt the coolest one and if not for Dave, we wouldn't have this awesome place to come to, so thank you Dave.
Now frankly, I don't consider hitting 12,000 posts to be like some milestone in my life, like "ooh, I posted 12,000 times on an internet forum, yayyyy", haha, but the number does carry some meaning to it. I've posted 12,000 times because there are many folks around here with whom I enjoy a nice, engaging conversation or a pure, juvenile fanboy chat filled with excitement over toys and the likes. Being part of this board has been a great experience for both me as a person who collects, and my collection itself. My collection continues to take in pieces that the mass market will never see but items that I treasure very much. So many of you have helped with comments and resources and materials to help me take my collection from out of the box to out of this world and I can't thank you enough for all of those opportunities.
I'm proud to be a part of this group of Freaks and look forward to the times ahead with all of you on the road to 20K!
