McF was one of the best. He started a whole new thing....so for that, I can never hate him.

Is the Collector Level program free? I checked over at the Spawn.com forum and all I could find was people talking about how much these figures will be worth on ebay.
How are the Freaks on here any different? OMG! Patient Zero PF exclusive is only out of 100, it will be worth nearly a grand. You watch! BUY BUY BUY!!!
Did Sideshow make you join a collector's club to get Patient Zero? Was there any announcement that it would only be limited to 100 pieces? Was there discussion before the preorder how much it would be worth?

Mattel requires their collectors to join a subscription and commit to a full 12 months to gain access to exclusive figures. Maybe you guys could start a ball busting thread about that too.

MOTU and the McFarlane sports figures probably both have enough collectors to make it worth doing. And lots of MOTU fans seem thrilled to have that option, because it keeps them from having to log-on in the first 5 minutes that something appears on their site, to get their figures before all the hoarders and "scalpers" do.
I think these kinds of things are pretty dumb myself, but if it makes these companies money (as it appeals to a significant portion of their respective fan-bases), then you've gotta expect that we'll only see more of it.

are a bunch of SS collectors saying McFarlane shouldnt do Low ES figures?
It has nothing to do with being low ES it has to do with them being sent to stores and being sold out the back door to dealers. At least everyone has a shot at getting the limited Sideshow figures.
