spawn hasn't been cool since the mid 90's. sorry, but even the movies sucked.

No crap dude! Here's what I hate about Spawn: It looks cool, it really does. It seeeems cool, but in the end, it's kind of lame. I mean if I sent some dude back from hell, he wouldn't be wearing a knock off Venom outfit with a cape. I think Spawn is a good visual, but the story...meh. Clown? WTF is that? Like ICP or some garbage? Sooooo lame.

im not gonna lie i used to love spawn when he first came out. but after 2-3 years or so the story got really freaking lame. when the movie came out i hoped it would've been good, but i cried after watching it.

Yep Spawn was interesting and good in the beginning. It rode that whole "Image" wave when artists like McFarlane,Lee,Liefeld,Larsen and a few others left the Big 2 of Marvel and DC in order to form Image.

Out of everyone there...McFarlane and Larsen are the only ones who produce their characters with Image.And McFarlane seems to be making bigger bucks with his toys anyways.

Spawn lost steam a long time ago and now just basically clogs the shelves at my local comic store.I suppose now McFarlane has finally taken notice that his creation will never reclaim the popularity it first started out with.

I'm sure in the end,no one will even notice Spawn is gone.

Watch the animated series... that is terrific. And Spawn can't stay dead too long since there is another animated series in the works.

I'm a big Spawn fan, but the movies sucked big time even when Spawn was popular. The story was boring and the effects were too cheesy. Too bad.

The only thing I like about the Spawn movie was it's soundtrack...

Other than that, I tried getting into Spawn essentially trying to jump on the bandwagon....but fell off before I ever got on...

Agreed. I LOVE the Spawn design, hate the backstory. Tis ashame, really ....
