Wow, that's how this figure should have come. Great job Josh!:clap :clap :clap :clap

DAMN DA! Greatness right there. Almost makes me wanna get some and have you do a whole crew, Shocktrooper, 501st, Gree, Utapau. If I collected PT I'd be in so much trouble right now.

Seriously, why would anyone want a pristine Clone Trooper??? THIS is how they should be coming out of factories in the first place. Medicom and Master Replicas are 'tarded.

:emperor

But you KNOW if Medi just pumped out non-white ones first people would ***** too. I bet they do dif. colors, they take their time though, with their prices they NEED to. I'm sure more colors/ranks will hit...in time. But the basic comes first, than you get fancy.

The problem (for me) is that the basic was not ever seen in the movie. There were no pristine clones ANYWHERE in ROTS. Heck, there weren't even any all white ones (unless you want to make a case for the ones seen for 2 seconds blowing up on the ship in the beginning, which would just be silly).

The only possible explanation for all-white pristine clones from manufacturers at this point is just pure laziness, imho.

I DO count those 2 seconds!

I don't think it's laziness. Cmon. Hasbro's first ROTS Clone toy was all white, I think Lucas (the company not the man) just says "Do white first" regardless of accuracy.

Josh's clone rocks!!! I like to think of the medi Clones as a fresh canvas. And am somewhat glad they come blank. I'd sooner buy a blank Clone to do whatever too than I would a Shocktrooper. Just my opinion though!

Well since MR is losing their license I guess its alright to let this small kitten out of the bag. The standard clones no matter what designation were to be pristine. The commanders were all to be weathered. Also the CE versions were under consideration for being weathered. Obviously of that will come to pass.

Oh, I know. I personally saw (and tried on) a weathered Special Ops helmet prototype at the MR offices as far back as September '05.

Me too! I told them straight out that the helmets should have all been weathered and the response was that it was an approval thing from LFL. Remember nothing gets produced unless Uncle George's crew allows it as such. If the Clones are pristine its because someone over at LFL willed it so.

Twas my guess. I can see wanting clean ones. I mean, maybe you just want a cleaner looking set up. On the same note, I can very well see wanting dirty ones for accuracy. But it's easier to weather than to un-do the weathering too, so there's an advantage to the clean.

I've talked to folks within LFL itself about this very subject. MR wasn't exactly lying, but the original directive that LFL gave them for the the Clone helmst was not to make the helmets all pristine but that they wanted to ensure consistency in any weathering process (so that Collector #1 doesn't end up with something completely different than Collector #2... they're real big on that, GG must give them fits :lol). MR couldn't ensure that at the time, so they had to go the pristine route.

It will be interesting to see how they manage the Gree and Fett helmets in production given this. Both have some very precise weathering marks that will have to be maintained and consistent across all product.

Thanks for all of the love guys... :rock

And my stance on the blank clones has a lot to do with my own custom painting. I just like the blank ones because they are a clean canvas and you can do anything you want without have to remove paint or anything. I know it sucks for the basic collector, and I hope that they eventually make a few damaged and different designation Clones farther down the line.

I think they should have done them in the different colors from the start as well. However, knowing I've got something unique coming from Josh they can make them white. Josh knocked it out of the park and then some.

I showed my Dad last night the pics of the final job on the Clone compared to the show I sent Josh as an example. My Dad and I both agree the one Josh did is just WAY better.

Wow... thanks bro. Tell you Dad I said so as well, really makes me feel good... Being my first Clone and everything. I was so nervous at first that I would mess up or something. It's funny seeing an all white Trooper now, I got so used to yours that I nearly forgot what it looked like in the beginning. :lol

My clone should be here later this week, I'm already researching Shock Trooper armor to prep. It's gonna rule. :rock

I will tell him. He's a member here so he enjoys taking a peak around and that's when I showed him last night.

Well, you cannot tell at all this was your first Clone because it just looks great. I really do mean MUCH better than the one I sent you a pic of. You could tell what your vision was for this and it came through prefectly. Actually, looking at the pics of the 501st and having Cody in my room I can't imagine having an all white Clone. Just would not feel right up against such talent especially.

I can't wait to see your Shock and will probably at somepoint this summer have you do one for me. :duff

Darth Neil sent me a Holo Sidious to go with my Cody custom to get the pose I wanted from ROTS. Here's just a quick shot of it.

Thanks Neil!!
