This is the best Yoda I have seen. Looks like a still from the film. What did you use for the hair? Is it glued on or rooted? The Medi Yoda is far superior to the SSC one. So glad I got this.

Thanks, but all the credit goes to Nathan Eakins. He apparently used hair from an old model kit, and it worked perfectly. It's glued on btw, he did an incredible job. Yoda, as small as he is, is well deserving of the 'big treatment' imo. Really can't wait to get the HT Luke alongside yoda and old Ben, just a few short days!

And I have both too, and they are both somewhat underwhelming in their own ways IMO. Over the next few months, I'm going to try a bit of casting and playing around with the sculpts and see if I can come up with something that comes closer to Yoda.

In really looking at both, I think I've begun to see what the problems are and maybe I can take the good of both and combine into an "Ultimate" yoda - or maybe it'll be a disaster!

Can't wait to see what you come up with. I have the Medi and thought of picking up the SS for a body swap. There was something about the SS head I did not like. I couldn't put a finger on it. I would most definitely be down with a Medi-Show recipe.

My doll hair came for Yoda today.. I'm walking a fine line, a blade's edge between doll and action figure. I'll never be the same.

I tend to trust what I see on screen more, and it varies as the Yoda in the backpack was diff to the Yoda puppet who was diff to the Yoda in long shots (that was actually a twice scale yoda with a midget wearing a suit) which results in a take your pick scale from a range of sizes/perspectives lol

The only thing I don't quite like about the Medi Yoda, is that he looks like he's sticking his neck out somewhat. His face also looks a tad sunken.. if that makes sense, & maybe not as podgy as it perhaps should be. Great figure though.

Conversely with the SSC Yoda, I think his head proportions are ass about; in other words, I feel his face is longer vertically than it should be. Obviously his skin colour isn't quite right either.

I applaud an attempt at an amalgam - looking forward to your progress swsqueaquels!

Most yoda's look too tall, its like they want him to be as tall as an astro mech for some reason.
