What i learnt from Medicom is, never preorder or buy them at launch price coz price gonna flop like nobody's business. You can get much better deals in the used market.

This has happened to a few Medicom figures I've been interested in, but still, I don't want to miss out on the initial run bonus items, & I prefer my figures new. Plus, who really knows how things will turn out with these. Might go the route of the Naruto, Sasuke, or Hei (I'm guessing there are other RAH figures that are rare enough to command over retail price) figures

What potato said is true IMO anime are hard to find after a while but something like spiderman is not cause hot toys is more superior n sculpt .

I agreed with Potato. I've seen it happen. Their DC RAH line is a good example of how quickly & how far prices might drop (If sales dictates if a line continues, how is that line getting more figures? ). I guess what I'm saying is, for me, & for these AoT releases, I don't really want to do a "wait & see" approach. I want them in hand early, & if I have to pay for that, alrighty then.

I think these initial run bonus items is kinda clever for Medicom. Gets peeps like me pre ordering

The market has changed in the past 2 years, people buy & sell off items very fast, esp for those with preorder bonus people just preorder irregardless whether they like it or not, in the end they sell it off cheaper, but don't wait for like 6 months after release, the biggest drop in price is about 1-3 months since release because that time the market is still full of brand new items so used item will have to drop further in price to compete. For Medicom i believe there's a time gap after the initial run is released until the 2nd run is released based on what we see on Amiami, so 1-3 months is the best time to pick up a good deal, unless the initial run is very limited to like 100 world wide.

Medicom stuff are pretty worthless nowadays due to people shifting to Hot Toys & Sideshows & other new comers & most buying/selling takes place in the Japanese market.

If these drop in value quickly after release, then it is what it is. It's not like I haven't paid for a figure & watched it devalue right before my eyes It happens. Tracking down & finding a good deal on a wanted figure months after release is cool, but enjoying a figure right after release is cool as well, even if you pay for it.

I'm still not feelin' those jackets. I know there is custom 1/4 scale AoT clothing out there. Would be cool if some custom 1/6 scale jackets popped up on eBay for an alright price.

well depends, some people prefer paying less & are willing to wait, while others don't mind paying full to get it 1st, whichever the person prefers.

I don't think you're going to convince him of anything. He's pretty dead set on his ideas. I'll probably jump on casual Mami and Annie preorders in case they rise in price. My Hei on display will always remind me of what could be.

I'm reading about the Annie RAH right now. Seems like she might be a Wonfest Summer Exclusive figure. Seems like she might be a bit of a hassle to get. Bah.

Anyway. Here are some new pics of Eren & Levi. They look pretty good there. Even the jackets don't look that bad & I like that they actually made Levi shorter. Yay. The Medicom AoT line is looking really nice.

Edit: Hmmm. Looking at it again, I'm not sure if Levi is shorter, or if it looks that way because he is behind Eren.

This is like the only annie figure we got right now and in 1/6 scale. That would suck if she was an exclusive. Come on she was the main antagonist in this season!
