... The armor modification had practical benefits as well. The stygian-triprismatic polymer afforded the stormtroopers increased sensor-stealth...

That's pretty cool, but how does one explain the white lenses in their helmets? Taking the 'practical benefits' in account, is there a meaningful reason for it, other than for design purposes? The lenses should actually be black I think. Looks cooler if they are white though.

we are talking about star wars here, does anything technical really make any sense? :D :D :D

Can't wait for that doilly pic! :D the Black shadow trooper should go nicely with the white doilly!

Will make a nice contrasting pic anyway. :rotfl

Been charged, and should be here on monday. That's quite a strange experience... order something and receive it a week later... With all the SSC PPO's I'm really not used to that!

Here's a quick pic of mine before I step out to eat lunch with a fellow board member. It's a crappy cold rainy day here in the KC Area so taking a good pic of this proved to be hard(at least for me). So I'll try and take a better one later.

I will say this piece is very nice and worth getting if you're into things outside the "movies". The armor is made of vinyl and pretty flexible not to mention had a strong smell coming out of the box. :lol The detailing is very nice but is a little harder to make out because it's all black. These RAH pieces are quite nice IMO.

Nice pic, and thx for posting it Josh. Mine SHOULD be here on Monday. Can't wait to 'smell the smell'! :D It's like the 'lenses' of the helmet are silver, not white. Is that so? Better than white IMO. Gives the stealth concept a bit more credibility.

Thanks!! Yeah, you should be smelling the smell soon then and you will notice it. :rotfl

They are silver. They stand out quite nicely on the all black mask.

does any one else have paint runs in there paint ... on the BHT ... i have three very bad paint run on the cheast plate ... just wondering if this is common or not ... im very up set the box is perfect and the figure looks so bad with the paint runs

Got mine on Friday, the paint job is perfect. And yeah he does smell, more so than than the normal stormy.

Did u try contacting the place you got it from? It's a paint job error so maybe you can replace it.

Got mine today. Looking great. As for the paint job flaws on yours, coolkansaswind, I'd say that's a reason for a return. At $129, such things are unacceptable. I wonder why this one passed quality control anyway.
I wasn't aware that these Shadow Troopers have a painted armor. I thought they where cast in black colored vinyl... Could those 'tears' you see on the chest plate be the coating? These armors are pretty shiny after all.
