I lost my patience for waiting for my blasters like (edit - not abake, monk) got from ebay. But these pics will give you all an idea of how the figure will look with the long blaster and the thinner body suit added.

If we ever get the other three colored command clones, I want to try to re-create the image on the poster that came with the Entertainment Earth Exclusive four-pack.

Dude, that looks wicked. :rock How much effort went into the body suit exchange?

Not much, really, The most difficult part was getting the Hasbro suit off as the boots and body suit and leg were all connected with glue, The boot had to be slowly peeled off.

Then the Medicom figure, I could not get the chest armor off so ithe pleather body suit had to be removed from under it and the Hasbro one but on under it as well. But if you have ever seen a lady remove a bra without taking off her shirt, you understand the basic concept.

Total time...45 minutes with 20-25 of that being the removal of the Hasbro boots and body suit.

My shadow Stormtrooper is next.

Well, here's mine. Love it. Even more than my Shocks.

(EDIT) I left the long blaster off of this one. He's a Commander. They have smaller guns, like sidearms. The long rifles are left for the infantry. Which I should have in a couple of weeks. :rock

Do you have a military background? A lot of people don't catch that detail.

Nope. I just pay attention. :D

I actually don't know the reasons behind that detail. But if I were to guess, it would be something like this: The Commanders only carry sidearms because, if the enemy were to make it past all of the infantrymen with their big bad assault rifles, then the leader's sidearm would be all that is necessary for that commander to take his own life rather than let himself fall into enemy hands. :( It's effed-up, but sensible.

Suicides are not allowed in the military...but it is for close-range combat. The primary idea of defense is to send "greeting cards" to the enemy as far out as possible. But the commanders are there to command, not fire the longer shots. And it is correct that their weapons are intended as final, close-range defense, and therefore are not long-range weapons. Seems like the toy companies really like to give the grunt weapons to the commanders...except for Medicom, of course.

Curious. But, given the nature of Americans' Christian values, I guess I'm not surprised at the no-suicide clause. I just assumed that they would rather not let any info that the commanders possess fall into enemy hands. I know that I couldn't hold up under torture, personally.

Anyway, I'm drinking, so I'd better stop there...can't divulge too much... :lol

I just got this guy and I have to say it's great. This is my first medicom trooper and I love it, it's so much better in hand then just seeing the pics. I don't have a digital camera or I'd put up pics, but if you're on the fence about this figure I suggest you pick it up. I live in Canada and StarWars.com still got it to me in like 3 days, awesome!

Looks like the AOTC Clones are wearing standard Phase II armor with a Phase I helmet. I had hoped that they would change more than just the helmet for these early clones. And would it be too much to ask for a DC-15A blaster rifle?

Quiet, you! :emperor

Seriously, though, I'd noticed that, too. But did the Phase II armor really change that drastically? Or did it just seem that way because of all of the wear and tear to the Episode III clones? I honestly don't know without putting the films in and comparing the two.

Probably not the only place I could have put this post. But seeing as how I used this figure for this weapon, I will put it here,

I just got the long clone blasters that I ordered from the same auction as monk. I really like them. They are heavy and if they are not in scale, they are damned close. The length of the blaster comes to the top of the utility pouches on the trooper's belt. I will post some detail pics of the blaster in the custom section.

They almost feel as if they are made from polystone. But my daughter broke one as soon as I got it, there is a white, plastic-type material under the paint.
