No info except for a possible November release date.

The Medicom Speed Racer figure thread

Don't count out a MediCom Racer X just yet. I think there is a pretty good chance that him and Speed were the only two planned for this line and were probably both in the works for a while especially with the Jack LOST figure released as well. Racer X is still a possibility but I wouldn't expect anything else.

Third Prediction to come through today. Startin' to feel a bit like Criswell.....:lol

It doesn't look like...

It's too short...

It's too skinny...

Ok, now that we have that out of the way, I think it looks pretty good from the small pictures so far, but I want to see bigger pics before deciding anything.

As bad as the film is doing these are either going to be remarkably cheap because people aren't going to be into it or amazingly expensive to try and recoup the costs. Either way I'm either eBay is a better bet for both Speed and Racer X

I wonder if Medicom expected Speed Racer to be a bigger hit. I hope these drop to $99. If the movie becomes a cult hit on dvd or something, these figures may be quite popular down the line.

The thing is the portion of the face you can see looks more like Matthew Fox than their Jack figure. :lol

I was thinking the same thing.

Fortunately ToysREvil also did a comparison pic of this figure, Jack Shepherd, and the real Mister Fox:

Pending price, I might get this. He's by far the coolest thing in what's otherwise a pretty uncool movie.

Now that is showing too much common sense, something that seems to be lacking here lately.

Couldn't agree with you more :rock

I agree that this figure looks great, and yes the pictures are smallish, and yes I will wait for more info before deciding.

Although I could probably go ahead and order this right now and when it turned up it would be better than anticipated, like always. I tend to look at a figure in an overall scale of things, you can clearly tell that this Racer X from Speed Racer the movie, even with the failings and flaws that I am sure will be pointed out many times as this thread progresses.

Are you sure it is 1:6. Everything I have seen seems to indicate that 1:10 is the biggest scale.

Can you provide a link for the 1:6 version if you have any info on it. Much appreciated :)

It is 1:6. It's made by Jada Toys and retails for $109.99-$129.99:

Good stuff. I just had a look at the companies website, and it still says coming soon. Anybody seen this in shops yet, and if so does it appear to be true 1\6, as in, would the medicom Speed Racer fit in it?
