Sorry if there's a thread already, saw this looks good (dunno much about these alien figs)

Alien Sideshow Collectibles Medicom RAH Real Action Heroes 1979 Alien

Wish mine's arm didn't come broken or out of socket under the tight rubber suit. But overall a great figure if a bit small.

how tall is this compared to HT's Big Chap? Might be good as baby or teen Alien ;D

is it even worth that? From my experience medicom's figures are super fragile plus I have the hot toys version already

Supposedly this version is more movie accurate. But the size and potential QC issues are keeping me away. I would really prefer the Hot Toys version for those issues, though the rubber on that figure worry me a bit, as well.

samesies. although, i think i like the HT version even less. it's the McF figure in a rubber suit.
that said, i can't make myself care about this figure either. i think we're pretty much screwed out of a decent 1:6 scale alien.

I've kept putting off getting anything because nothing is quite what I want it to be. It kind of silly that I've got a Power Loader Ripley, Kane, and Hicks in my collection with no Alien. But, I can never justify getting a defective "Aliens" Alien, a wacky alien from the AVP films, or a Big Chap with issues like these.

The McF version is a 1000x more accurate then the HT figure. The HT Alien is crap. In every way. Looks like Godzilla.

In this image the right hand is colossal !:horror

I have this model, and hands are not as disproportionate, be an effect of the photo

I think and still one of the best models on the market of the first alien, the joints are invisible, is proportionate

I had this figure. Ended up selling him. He was gorgeous, but just too darn small to fit anywhere in my collection. Only Medicom figure I ever bothered owning. I miss him sometimes, but I'm one of the few that loves the HT Big Chap.

I like the Medicom more, infinitely more faithful, the HT has a face like a sperm whale

Yeah, but the Medicom looked like a thirteen year old next to the other figures on my shelf. Between that and the paint rubbing off everywhere you touched or bended the suit, I'll stick with HT. A little silver paint on the teeth, and the HT looks much better.
