I just saw this posted over at the OSW forum:

spawn.jpg

Seems that Medicom will be adding Spawn to there line-up afterall. I'm not a huge fan of the series, but I always wanted a top-notch figure and this looks like it! Lets hope Sideshow brings it to the US for us!!!

BTW, not sure if this is the appropriate forum since its not Marvel, but I figured this was the closest match:monkey3

Oh please. People talk about everything from LOST to what they had for dinner last night here. This is definitely the appropriate forum.

I'm a big Spawn fan myself. I hope that Sideshow does distribute it.

Hmmmm.. people, Spawn= Mcfarlane....Sideshow being a direct competitor to Mcfarlane....I dont see it happening..besides Mcfarlane can distribute it in the state...

i highly doubt SS will distribute this even though it is by Medicom. Looks good though.

I stopped collecting Spawn a long time ago, but I think the Super Deformed one looks cool too.

I stopped reading Spawn around issue 30-something. I am surprised that Medicom is picking this one up since we have so many versions from McFarlane Toys already.

Does seem strange - but oh well. I'd like to see Sideshow themselves do a Spawn figure - the Medicome heroes are a bit too thin front to back IMHO - at least from the pics. It would be nice to see a fully costumed one instead of moulded - i.e. a figure covered with a wetsuit type costume rather than a painted moulded figure.

anyone got info as to how much these things will go for? will it be around the $100s?

Good point, I actually thought about that... could be some sort of Spawn.com exclusive. Either way I do hope its made available to the US market instead of having to pay $150 plus another $30 for shipping :monkey2

Spawn rocks, this is a must have for me.

And I had turkey for dinner last night...

Never read the comic, but it's a cool character design. But Toddie McF HATES clothed "dolls" I'm surprised he licensed this. I would doubt SSC would be allowed to import it too. Although McF doesn't do it's own distribution does it? They go through diamond or something don't they?

Both, direct and diamond like GG and Bowen

I used to be a HUGE Spawn fan back back in the day. It was my favorite comic title for a long time. I stopped collecting a few years ago thou, when McFarlane stopped drawing and writing the series.

It's a great looking figure, but, I doubt I will get it.

I still remember when I had over 200 + Spawn action figures....(all long gone now)

:D

Interesting, but I won't be buying one.
And yeah, Todd did say he hates "dolls" with real clothing and that they don't look as realistic as sculpted clothing, so then why would he authorize this figure?
