Reach Robotics, a company out in the UK, just opened up preorders for their robot battling system called "MekaMon":
At its essence, it's a robot you can control remotely via Bluetooth using a smartphone app. Single-player gameplay uses "augmented reality"; you pilot the robot to go after virtual targets. Multi-player is straight up Mek vs. Mek battling. Eventually you'll be able to physically mod your robot with upgrade parts like weapons and shields.
Current pricing is $330 for one, $600 for a set of 2, pre-orderable through their site (https://www.mekamon.com) with the first shipment of 500 set for January '17.
