I don't post in threads of figures I'm not getting... but they need to constantly remind everyone they're not getting it turds.

Btw, when I stripped the paint off the SSC Lara, I found out there was barely any paint to strip at all! The plastic mold they use is the same color as the final "paintapp" which is why they look so flat. It's entirely possible that the Plissken sculpt most likely suffers from the same issue, hence why he looks so bad.

Yeah that's the one, I had to strip everything to get to the base sculpt and because she was cross eyed. What I didn't know was that I wasn't stripping anything at all.

A good painter should be able to highlight Plissken's features and give him a proper beard since I think the base sculpt is actually quite good.

Thanks King, My buddy GDB (who's a member here) said he would love to do a repaint of MGS figures for a bargain fee, I think it's worth it, despite the shipping. Those Mrdicoms are basically model kits.

The sculpt isn't bad, I just wish he has more of a slant to his eyelid. His eye is too open for my taste. I also hate how SSC makes all the eyes face directly forward, instead of having some of the eye under the upper lid.

Y'know what? That just gives me an idea! Maybe I could try sculpting an eyelid after stripping all the paint. Good eye Pliss! (no pun intended)

It's a great looking figure especially with the repaint. I might take that offer once I find a medicom neck.

2. I haz Das Keyboard 4 with Cherry MX Blue key switches, Sentey Revolution Pro mouse, and Asus 24 inch 1080p moniturzz.

3. I haz PS4 controllurzz!

4. I haz not 1 but 2 Astro A50zzz!

5. And just to keep this post relevant for the thread, I haz the Metal Gear Rizing for teh PC on teh 60 inch TV! (and some Christmas decorations up in the background )

Not sure if mine is the "cool" one since we've seen tons of great repaints on this thread but any degree of a paint work beats the stock head. As a display piece, it's fantastic so do try to get one yourself.

Yeah, it was Ryan's. He does some truly amazing reworks with his figures. You should see his Lara Croft figure, too!
