Thanks for your reply, When I did a google search of ¥7000, it shows that as 7000 Chinese Yan, which equals $1098 Us dollars...
Or was that 7000 YEN, which is equal to $59 USD, so I guess $30 dollar import markup is added? Man thats a pricey 6 inch figure...

Yep, 7000 JPY. It was about $60 at retail, more if you ordered the Goodsmile Online Exclusive version from their webstore (came with a second papercraft box and a SOCOM, not worth the markup tbh).

Best bet might be to look into Japanese figure exchanges like Mandarake and AmiAmi preowned if you want to get a deal, plenty of them show up secondhand but unopened for around ¥8000.

Yeah. Its good "looking" but he really nailed how awful the ball jointed torso is. Its super loose and floppy and its made worse with how the rubber overlay of the upper torso/pecs area just floats around and doesn't connect to anything. So it shifts all over while your trying to get the ball joint to not flop around. Really astoundingly bad design choice which I guess seems to be par for the course on MGS figures these days. The best we've gotten lately was the figma, and even that has super awkward shoulder articulation. Hopefully that upcoming Revoltech figure is good but the fact that its Revoltech is damning in itself.

I agree the upper torso is pretty loose and probably won't hold up to much playing around before it starts flopping over on it's own. The sculpt isn't bad though, and I prefer it's look over the Venom Snake desert fatigues PAK. Overall it's not a bad PAK if you just pose it once and leave it alone in a case. It does look very good on display!

On another note, the BLOOD poster for TPP from GAME UK came in today and looks very sharp in my mgsv display!

Great display Viper, it looks awesome!

I think I'm going to pick up the sneaking suit version. I see all the complaints on him as valid but being newer to collecting figures and having my stuff all in static poses I don't think it will bother me for the price point. I also really don't like the cartoonish headsculpts on the figma, I would much prefer the PAK, even with all of its issues.

If the ball joint on the torso is especially loose and something that is a major pain, it can be popped off and some clear nail varnish painted into the peg hole.

Once dry it should give more friction to the joint. Electrical tape or the like would work also.

Seems like your regular PAK problems though, nothing out of the ordinary.

Really nice display!! :clap

I love how everyone calls him burning man, thats a hippy rave concert. The box say "man on fire" and even ebay sellers and random anime shops still say burning man. Hahaha
